STEWARDS PANEL: Mr. W. Moore
RACE 1: CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 850M
TIOLI jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
At the 500 metre mark QUID JESTER was taken in by TIOLI who in turn placed slight pressure on THE RED RECRUIT.
The winner TIOLI was swabbed.
RACE 2: CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1090M
On receiving the gear for PEEPERS, trainer Mr S. Brown noticed the stirrups were missing.
App L. Timson was fined $25 for failing to weigh out with the full compliment of gear.
No racing incidents.
The winner MUHALIA was swabbed.
RACE 3: MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1212M
EMANCIPATE was a late scratching at 9.30am acting on veterinary advice as the horse was running a high temperature. The trainer of EMANCIPATE, Mr. T. Hall was instructed to forward a certificate signed by his vet to Queensland Racing Stewards.
BEST APPEAL which was restless in the barriers and on jumping was tightened by ROYAL ARCHWAY which shifted out and SIONNAN which shifted in.
The winner ROYAL ARCHWAY was swabbed.
RACE 4: OPEN HANDICAP – 1212M
LENNY threw its head up on jumping away and lost ground.
At the 400 metre mark SEATTLE ROCK had to be eased off the heels of CRAIGLEA EGO.
The winner LENNY was swabbed.
