QUEENSLAND RACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT BUNDABERG RACE CLUB TUESDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2016 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – GOOD/ SAND RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – N. Boyle Club Steward – P. HoneywellClerk of Scales – Ms. S. EvansJudge – A. NassoVeterinarian – Dr.L.Annetts , Dr. T.UlcoqStarter – A. Emery Race 1: RUM CITY FOODS CLASS B HANDICAP 850M MAMBO MISS - Stewards gave permission for jockey L Appo to ride the mare ½ kg over its allocated weight. Hung out rounding the home turn. BYRON BABE – Slow to jump. At scale jockey I Coombes reported that the mare resented the kickback. SUPER TUSCAN – Raced three wide without cover throughout. SAMUEL JAMES – Raced wide throughout. ISIS AMBER – Passing the 400m had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on heels. LIVERPOOL JANE – Approaching the 400m shifted in slightly tightening Isis Amber. .Race 2: SEA FM CLASS 3 PLATE 1090M HOPETOUN STREET – Began awkwardly and shifted in. CHEN WICKO – Began awkwardly and shifted out. COLD BLOODED – Tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground. Correct weight was delayed to allow J Hoopert rider of the second placed horse CHEN WICKO to view the photo finish image for first. After doing so he was satisfied with the judge’s decision and correct weight was declared. Race 3: CRAFT RENTAL & HARDWARE OPEN HANDICAP 1090M SEEN A HOST – Stewards gave permission for jockey L Appo to ride the gelding ½ kg over its allocated weight. CORRYVRECKAN – Slow into stride and raced wide after passing the 500m. MIDNIGHT CURFEW – Began awkwardly on jumping and shifted in. . Race 4: EAST END HOTEL BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1212M THE PAST – Bumped on jumping. Had a tendency to lay out throughout the event and passing the 250m shifted out and hampered Binesi. Jockey I.Coombes was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. METALLIC POINT – Bumped on jumping. JACK ATTACK– Raced wide throughout. DEAR MAMA – Raced wide rounding the first turn. BINESI – Slow into stride. Passing the 250m had to be steadied and alter course when improving onto heels of THE PAST which shifted out. MAGIC FISH – Rider reported when returning to the enclosure that the mare felt lame on pulling up. A post race vet examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off fore fetlock. Trainer Ms C Vick was advised that a veterinary certificate of soundness would be required prior to the mare racing again. Race 5: BUNDY DIESEL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1380M COME BY OFTEN – Raced in restricted room rounding the first turn and had to be steadied to avoid heels and then raced three wide without cover from the 900m. TIVERTON – Raced wide in the early stages..
