Race 1: Waves Tigers Senior Rugby League Benchmark 60 H’Cap 850m
 
The start of this race was delayed until 1.30pm to allow for the Ambulance to arrive on track.
 
HENAGAN was unable to be mounted by its rider in the enclosure and after several unsuccessful attempts to do so, was declared a late scratching by Stewards at 1.25pm. Trainer G. Richardson was advised that the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to being permitted to race again.
All bets on Henagan were to be refunded and all successful bets placed prior to 1.25pm deductions to apply.    Deductions :  17 cents in the win for first (7)
                                                          15 cents for the place for first (7)
                                                          15 cents for the place for second(6)
                                                          15 cents in the place for third(5)
All SP bets were not subject to deductions.
 
BJORN – Began awkwardly and then was slow to muster speed.
 
MY BLING – Resented the kickback in the early stages and when shifted wider on the track ran on reasonably well.
 
SOUND THE HORN – Began awkwardly and soon after the start attempted to buck for a few strides when the saddle shifted back. Trainer B. Hull was fined $100 for late declaration of rider for the gelding.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 2: The Waves Sports Club ATW Netball Maiden Plate 1090m
 
DAVEY – Began awkwardly and then raced wide after rounding the 800m turn.
 
OUR HAPPY RAIN – Began awkwardly.
 
DONAVIA – Raced wide throughout
 
 

 
 
 
Race 3: Waves Falcons Rugby Union  Class B H’Cap 1090m
 
BUCK THE SYSTEM – Dislodged its rider on the way to the barriers. After being recaptured was remounted and proceeded to the barriers where it was examined by the club veterinarian and cleared to take its place in the field. Raced wide early.
 
BYRON BABE – Jumped in at the start and then approaching the 900m was tightened between runners and lost ground.
 
TABRIZ – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
CRAIGLEA BARINA – Tightened between runners on jumping and lost ground.
 
THAT PRETTY GIRL – Was tightened and lost some ground passing the 800m when racing in restricted room.
 
RAVELLING – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
CELTIC SPELL – Raced wide throughout. Rider reported that the horse resented the kickback and in his opinion failed to run on with the large weight carried today.
 
 
JAMMO JACK – Raced wide throughout
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 4: Stansure Strata ATW Cricket Open H’Cap 1090m
 
SHOULDA TO SHOULDA -  Slow to jump and then was ridden forward to be three wide joint leader approaching the 500m.
 
MAN OF DESTINY – Raced wide after passing the 600m
Race 5: Tradelink ATW Eagles AFL Benchmark 55 H’Cap 1212m
 
BINESI – Slow into stride.
 
VESELKA – Raced wide early.
 
DUAN THEO – Raced wide rounding the home turn
