Race 1: ARCHER PARK RACING CLASS B Handicap 1090 METRES
 
PRESTISSIMO – Checked and lost ground shortly after the start when tightened between two runners. Had to be steadied off heels near the 100 metres when another runner shifted out.
 
SHENZI – Hung out for the distance of the home straight.
 
DOLCI – Shifted in shortly after the start bumping another runner. Raced wide throughout.
 
MISS TAYLOR – Shifted out shortly after the start bumping the runner to it’s outside. Raced wide throughout.
 
RINGO’S MAGIC – Raced wide throughout.
 
BAGGER NEMO – Proved difficult to load. Slow into stride. Jockey S Lacy was reprimanded for allowing her mount shift out when insufficiently clear to do so approaching the 100 metres.
 
INFINITE ADVANTAGE – Slow into stride. Failed to show any speed throughout the event. Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that INFINITE ADVANTAGE had bowed a tendon on the off fore. Trainer David Jones was advised that he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness before starting INFINITE ADAVANTAGE again.
 
Race 2: SOUTH BUNDY BUSES Maiden Plate 1212 METRES
 
CHEERS FOR CHARLIE slow into stride failed to show any speed throughout the event.
A post-race veterinary examination revealed that CHEERS FOR CHARLIE had bowed a tendon on the near fore and had swelling around the shin. Trainer David Jones was advised that he must produce a veterinary certificate of soundness before starting CHEERS FOR CHARLIE again.
 
MAJIANG lost off hind plate prior to the start, was able to be reshod, stewards granted permission for MAJIANG to race bare in the hind. Raced wide throughout.
 
SCRUFF’N’STUFF raced wide throughout and shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
SEARCH AND DESTROY raced wide throughout.
 
SUPALUX raced wide throughout.
 
VANDERWINK rider reported after leading in the early and middle stages that VADERWINK failed to handle the heaving sand over the concluding stages and tired noticeably. It was also noted that this was the first start for VANDERWINK on the Bundaberg sand surface.
 
Race 3: MARTO FARMS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1212 METRES
 
WRECKING BALL shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages forcing another runner wider on the track.
 
GOSSIAUX raced wide throughout and was forced even wider by another runner over the concluding stages.
 
MAKE AMENDS stood flat footed and missed the start by several lengths. Trainer David Jones was advised that MAKE AMENDS must pass a trial to the satisfaction of stewards before starting again.
 
PEXBURY AVENUE raced wide throughout.
 
RED HEAVY over raced in the early stages.
 
ALL ELLIE raced wide throughout.
 
MY CERTAIN raced wide throughout.
 
Race 4:BUNDABERG RACE CLUB LIGHTNING Handicap 850 METRES
 
ABSOLUTE BONZA raced wide throughout
 
SEE FOR YOURSELF raced wide throughout
 
BELZU raced wide throughout
 
POETIC DRAGON raced wide throughout
 
MASTER DENRHO raced wide throughout
 
LOADED AND READY was slow into stride.
 
Race 5: BUNDABERG RACE CLUB GOLD CUP Handicap 1380 METRES
 
SCRABBLE was fractious prior to the start and jumped inwards on leaving the barriers.
 
AL’S BRIEFS raced wide throughout, rider reported the AL’S BRIEFS resented the sand kick back.
 
NINE CIGARS raced wide throughout, rider lost whip coming around the home turn.
 
RAMROD raced wide throughout.
 
ELUSIVE ELEMENT was slow into stride raced wide throughout.
