QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT BUNDABERG RACE CLUB 3rdSeptember 2022 WEATHER – Overcast TRACK RATING – Sand RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman: K DalyClub Steward: P HoneywillClerk of Scales: C MyersJudge: A Beljon, A NassoVeterinarian: Dr K SchroederStarter: B Steindl General: Jockey Ian French, who was resuming race riding today after an extended break, was incorrectly listed as being an apprentice rider in some publications when in fact he is licensed with QRIC as a Country Jockey. Race 1 - BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (850 METRES) RAMTASTIC – Bumped at the start. ARATULA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. RUTTO – Raced wide for the majority of the event. FINEST ACT – After beginning awkwardly was slow to muster speed in the early stages. Passing the 700m shifted wider on the track and raced wide for the remainder of the event. HAN DYNASTY – Jumped out at the start and bumped RAMTASTIC. Race 2 - Maiden Plate (1090 METRES) CLANG’S TATT – Laid in under pressure in the home straight MUSSEL LINES – Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Began awkwardly. Following the disappointing performance trainer M Bailey advised the horse would now be sent for an immediate spell. BEAUETA – Raced wide throughout. Adam Spinks, rider of BEAUETA, was fined $200 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, 4 more than permitted. ETHELDA – The license of apprentice R Wilson to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 11th September up to and including midnight 18th September 2022 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m, 5 more than permitted. Race 3 - QTIS OPEN Handicap (1090 METRES) AMERICAN GENIUS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. DOLCI – Steadied from heels near the 900m. DAUNTING PRINCESS – After beginning awkwardly, laid out for some distance thereafter resulting in DOLCI having to be steadied from heels near the 900m. Race 4 - BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1212 METRES) CREDENZA – After dislodging rider G Steele in the enclosure, the horse underwent a veterinary examination prior to being loaded into the barriers and was cleared to start. Began very awkwardly, lost ground and then raced ungenerously in the early stages when racing at the tail of the field. SHENZI – Laid out under pressure in the home straight. CRAIGLEA BANDIT – Rider H Richardson reported when placed under pressure from the 600m, CRAIGLEA BANDIT failed to respond to her riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. TRUE TALLY – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Race 5 - Class B Handicap (1380 METRES) KILKENNY DAZZLER – After being fractious in the barriers was slow to begin. Approaching the 200m shifted in and had to steadied away from the heels of YES NO MAYBE SO which laid out marginally under pressure at the same time. TOY WHITTY – Raced three wide throughout the event. Adam Spinks, rider of TOY WHITTY, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted. YES NO MAYBE SO – Laid out under pressure near the 200m.
