JUST BINGO – Began awkwardly.

KING OF THE VIBE – P Hamblin was the approved late rider replacement for T Banks as Mr Banks was committed to VADAMOON (NZ) which gained a start as an emergency. When questioned regarding the sizable lead that was established in the middle stages, jockey P Hamblin advised that after beginning only fairly, he rode his mount with vigour to obtain a forward position, however, was surprised that he was able to obtain the lead leaving the 1000m. Mr Hamblin further added that once obtaining the lead he desisted from pressuring his mount until approaching the home turn and was of the view that KING OF THE VIBE commenced to battle from the 300m.
