Race 1: HASTINGS DEERING PTY LTD / D & E FREIGHT / CHAMPION CONTRACTING MAIDEN PLATE - 1100 metres

EURODANE –Slow into stride and tightened for room shortly after the start then resented the kickback.
 
SPUR WING – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
SPIRIT’S FIRST – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
 
Race 2: PRINCE HOLDINGS / MEAD PERRY GROUP / GRANTS CONCRETE MICHAEL R BARRETT MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres 
 
 
SPILTZ – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
FULLY MAXED – Travelled wide for much of the race with no cover.
 
ALERT BY SEA – Declared a non -runner as the mare was not afforded a fair start as the gates didn’t open. Deductions were announced with correct weight as being 16 cents in the dollar value of the win bet and 16 cents in the dollar value of the 2nd place bet.
 
CAMBOOYA ROCK and ENJOYABLE contacted heavily at the start.
 
Race 3: TOBY HARRIS / KABZS PLUMBING / SIMPSON DESERT OASIS / BIRDSVILLE HOTEL CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000 metres  
 
 
WAIT A MINUTE – Hung out shortly after the start and raced greenly for much of the race.
 
SING SONG – Hung out for much of the race proving difficult to ride out.
 
 
Race 4: NAP / GEORGE BOURNE & ASSOC / TOOWOOMBA TRUCK SPARES BEDOURIE CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1600 metres  
 
 
FAB’S COWBOY was a late scratching at 2.30pm as connections were worried regarding the hard track and the heavy weight the horse had to carry.
 
LOUD ENOUGH – Contacted at the start, went wide rounding the home turn to gain clear running and lay in down the home straight under pressure.
 
FULTON STREET – Jumped outwards. Jockey C. Gallagher dropped his whip at the 300m.
 
CASHING UP – Slow to muster early speed.
 
 
RACE 5: MCINNES WILSON / CAVA HYDRAULICS / CITY & COUNTRY REALTY QTIS BM 55 HANDICAP – 1200 metres
 
COCKLES was a late scratching at 3.30pm as there were no riders available.
 
WICKED EXPRESS – Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
CHARLIE GARCON – Travelled wide in the middle and late stages.
 
KALUAPAPA – Travelled wide for much of the race with no cover.
 
LEO’S EXPRESS – Broke through the barriers twice prior to jumping and had to be reloaded.
 
BELLS’N’BOWS – Held up for clear running from the 300m to the 100m.
 
GOORNONG GIRL – Travelled wide for much of the race with no cover.
 
 
Race 6: CLUNY STATION / KAMARAN DOWNS / BILBY HAULAGE
 JEAN SMITH MEMORIAL CLASS 6 HANDICAP - 1300 metres      
 
I AM IMPINGE – Heavily contacted at the start when an inside runner jumped awkwardly.
 
ME MYSELF AND I – Contacted at the start.
 
SUPREME ATTRACTION – Over raced in the early stages.
 
STATIC LIFT – Shifted out at the 200m under pressure.
 
ROCK AND SWING – Knuckled and jumped outwards at the start heavily contacting another runner.
 
SNIP ‘N’ DRIFT – Stood flat footed losing considerable ground at the start.
 
ALITAKA – Travelled wide in the early stages.
