GENERAL
 
Stewards permitted the following overweights:
Race 3: Gotta Beat – T Banks +1kg
Race 4: El Magnificence – T Banks +1.50kg
Race 6: Grinzinger Bishop – T Banks + 2kg
 
Due to no available riders the following runners were scratched by order of stewards at 12:00pm:
Race 2: Mr Squiggle’s Mate, Miss Bouchard.
Race 5: Fifty Carats
 
Race 1:BROOK PASTORAL/LGSG CONSULTANCY/CITY & COUNTRY REAL ESTATE MAIDEN PLATE 1100M
 
KLONDIKE STRIKE – Shifted wider at the 600m to avoid kickback.
 
MOGGIE – Failed to muster early speed. Trainer T Parry stated she was happy that the gelding found the line somewhat well however is better suited over further distances.
 
 
Race 2:TOOWOOMBA TRUCK SPARES/PENGELLY TRUCKS/WESTERN TRUCK GRP QTIS 55 HANDICAP 1000M
 
MERSEYSIDE – Raced wide to avoid the kickback. Apprentice E Molloy reported the mare felt flat and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
STROMA ASTER – Raced wide throughout.
 
ZEITAKUNA – Shifted out on jumping hampering RUSTY ROSE.
 
RUSTY ROSE – Jumped awkwardly and buffeted between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
 
DREYFUS – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 3:GIBSON LIVESTOCK/ARRABURY PAST CO/NAPCO/ PE & GC HARRIS RATINGS 0-60 HANDOCAP 1000M
 
WISH I HAD – Jumped awkwardly, shifting inwards.
 
HI ZERO – Raced wide throughout.
 
KARATEMISS – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
Race 4:MCINNES WILSON LAWYERS/GBA/APPLETON GRAZING/CAVA OPENHANDICAP 1000M
 
AL PAL'S GAL – Apprentice jockey S McCann reported the mare tended to hang throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
JUST STOP IT – Approaching the 100m, restrained off heels and shifted wider when MATHEMATICS shifted out.
 
MATHEMATICS – Slow to begin. Approaching the 100m shifted out momentarily hampering JUST STOP IT. Jockey, H Phillips was advised to show greater care when shifting ground under similar circumstances.
 
 
 
Race 5:SIMPSON DESERT OASIS/BOULIA & BEDOURIE HOTEL/BILBY TRANSPORT CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1300M
 
AWESOME LAD – Jumped awkwardly making heavy contact with the barrier partition damaging the gelding’s pacifiers and took no further part in the race. After viewing the available replays stewards did not believe any embargos should be placed on the gelding.
 
PRECONI – Raced wide throughout. Apprentice jockey, E Molly reported that the mare felt awkward and eased PRECONI down over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
MISSILES ARMED – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 6:BAE (BRUCE AIR ELECTRICAL) BEDOURIE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600M
 
ELLA TE AMA – When questioned regarding the performance, apprentice S McCann stated the mare resented the kickback early and failed to respond to her riding when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
LUCKY EXCHANGE – When questioned regarding the performance, Jockey H Phillips advised that in her opinion the filly felt flat which could be attributed to backing up from last weekend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
WARRAH FLASH – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
STARLITE REBEL – When questioned regarding the performance, apprentice jockey E Molloy advised that the mare started well, however, started to tire coming into the home straight and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
GRINZINGER BISHOP (NZ) – Raced wide throughout.
