Henderson Jockeys Advocate – G. SmithStewards Secretary – W. Ostrofski Race 1: WINTER IS LEAVING MAIDEN 1 H'CAP – 1400M ACHILTIBUIE – Inclined to lay out in the home straight. SUBATOMIC – Overraced in the early stages. Obliged to alter course to avoid heels near the 150m. MISAUTHORITY – Made contact with the outside fence whilst proceeding to the barriers, examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Overraced in the early stages. Held up rounding the home turn and in the home straight until approaching the 100m. TWINCITI DANCER – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Race 2: BEAUDESERT COLLISION REPAIRS CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1400M STEAL A DIAMOND – Bumped at the start. HORS LA LOI – As M. Gray was ill, J. Taylor was substituted as rider. Stood flat-footed at the start and lost considerable ground. Trainer R. Kelly was advised that he would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate for the mare prior to racing again. GUMDALE BOY – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped STEAL A DIAMOND.Race 3: JULIE O'SHEA MEMORIAL MAIDEN H'CAP – 1100M Apprentice J. Guthmann-Chester was reprimanded for accepting dual engagements. The declaration of correct weight was delayed to afford apprentice B. Ainsworth, the rider of 3rd placegetter FROGMOUTH, the opportunity of viewing the stewards’ patrol footage of the last 100m to establish whether she had grounds on which to lodge an objection against WIG WAM BAM. After viewing the video apprentice Ainsworth declined to lodge an objection. BERMUDA MISS – Overraced in the early and middle stages. JET TRACK NINE – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. WIG WAM BAM – Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages. ALL HYPE – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to race. Slow to begin. Hung in for the majority of the home straight. Race 4: CORNISH RACING C,G&E BENCHMARK 58 H'CAP – 1200M LAIKA GORDO – Tightened between runners at the start. LANDALE – Overraced in the early and middle stages. SPIRITED SAINT – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Race 5: JIM & LENORE STANFIELD F&M BENCHMARK 58 H'CAP – 1200M The start of this race was delayed when the off fore plate of SCRAP COPPER required refitting at the barriers. ALL IN ALL – Apprentice J. Woodhouse was cautioned for the manner in which he slowed the pace of the race passing the 900m. CASTANITA – Began awkwardly. CHOPHOUSE TEARS – Had to steady from heels on a number of occasions when the pace slackened leaving the 900m. SCRAP COPPER – Overraced in the early stages and had to be restrained from heels on a number of occasions when the pace steadied. Approaching the 100m was inconvenienced between CAPITAL CITY and ALL IN ALL, which shifted out slightly. EUPHORBIA – As the horse had raced at Kilcoy on Saturday, 3 December, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. ALL OUR WIVES – Raced three wide without cover throughout.Race 6: RUTHERFORD FARM BENCHMARK 58 H'CAP – 1650M LEPRECHAUN LAD – Began awkwardly. ROUND MOUNTAIN GEM – Hung out rounding the home turn. CHILLI BEACH – Slow to begin. BOCAGE – Inconvenienced when taken wider on the track leaving the 100m. MALT ‘N’ FURY – K. Yoshida reported that the filly got its tongue over the bit. Connections advised that the horse would be sent for an immediate spell.
