SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

From Doomben Saturday 21.4.18 – Race 8:

Stewards questioned Trainer Ben Currie on Monday 24 April 2018 regarding the improved performance of WITH A PROMISE in the Ray White Ascot Tails Stakes. Mr Currie explained that at her previous start in the Weetwood Handicap in Toowoomba, WITH A PROMISE raced wide throughout from her wide barrier and finished at the rear of the field on the firm track . Mr Currie added that the step up in distance last Saturday to 1600 metres and the softer track at Doomben were contributing factors to the improvement and he advised the owners that the mare was a winning chance. Mr Currie’s explanation was noted.

From Kilcoy Saturday 21.4.18 – Race 7:

Trainer M. Mair reported that PERFORATION pulled up with a swollen eye, which may have affected its performance.
