SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT


GENERAL

As riders J.Huxtable (Illness), C.Caserta (Injured),were not riding at the meeting, rider replacements were made as per the Stewards summary.

Race 1: BEAUDESERT AUTO GROUP Class 2 Plate 1650 metres

ROYALSPECTOR – Bumped with SHY GIRL (NZ) entering the home straight.

ICE ELITE – Slow to begin

SHY GIRL (NZ) –In the barrier the mare got it’s off-side hind up and as a result began awkwardly and lost ground. Shifted wider to improve near the 800m and raced wide for the remainder. Bumped with ROYALSPECTOR entering the home straight.

PARLOUR – Steadied near the 450m when placed in restricted room for a short distance before entering the home straight.

SIENNA’S AWARD – Held up for clear running from the 450m until entering the home straight.


Race 2: CARSWELL & COMPANY Maiden Plate 1100 metres

DOCTOR JACK – Raced three wide for the majority and made the home turn wide.

ENLIGHTENED ZONE – Began awkwardly. Near the 800m raced in restricted room to the inside of ZANY LAD which shifted in momentarily.

AUNTY EDNA – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

DOTNED – Began awkwardly.

ROSIE RED SHOES – Slow to begin. Raced greenly in the home straight.

SNAP THE LUCK – Approaching the 150m improved on to heels and had to be steadied. Over the concluding stages had to be steadied when awkward placed at the heels of ROSIE RED SHOES which was racing greenly.

FLAMING ASTEROID – Over the concluding stages was eased when awkwardly placed at heels.

NORTHERN WATER – Slow to begin. Raced three wide for the majority.

ZANY LAD – Slow to begin. Near the 800m raced in restricted room to the inside of NORTHERN WATER which shifted in momentarily. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 100m.

Race 3: HEIGHT4HIRE Colts, Geldings & Entires BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1200 metres

I'M JACKO – Bumped on jumping.

ZAIDIN – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

GREEN KUDOS – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Had to be steadied near the 100m when disappointed for a run between ZAIDEN and GREEK STAR which shifted out away from BOOMI’S BUDDY which was laid out.

BOOMI'S BUDDY – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running from the 400m until entering the home straight. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.

DEUBANK – Inconvenienced shortly after the and was steadied.

Race 4: PLATINUM ELECTRICAL & AIR Class 5 Handicap 1400 metres


SECRET CONQUEST – Bounded out of the barriers and lost ground.

BIGGIE – When questioned about the seemingly improved performance trainer A. Sawden reported that the gelding had been working well leading up to today’s event and was not surprised with today’s forward showing.
MY ZEBRINKA – Near the 600m shifted wide to improve and raced wide for the remainder of the race. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

Race 5: XEN WEALTH Maiden Handicap 1400 metres

CURLEY'S PRIDE – Stood flat footed at the start and lost ground. Approaching the home turn was steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of GOLDEN WHITT and shifted wider.

SUMMER STAR – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up for clear running from the 300m until a point entering the home straight.

THAT'LLDOTOO – Began awkwardly.

FIVE CHERRYS – Entering the home straight buffeted between runners and raced in restricted room for a short distance.

ELUETERIO – Jumped awkwardly.

JIMMY NEUTRON – Leaving the 400m laid in and made contact with the inside running rail and shifted out abruptly. Trainer J Dunn was advised that a warning will be placed on the geldings racing manners.

HARRYUP – Raced wide for the majority of the race.

HOKE'S RUN – Raced three wide with no cover throughout.

LAYLA'S SONG – The start of the race was delayed when the filly became fractious in the barriers, was examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed suitable to race. Trainer H Norman was advised that a warning would be placed against LAYLA’S SONG’s barrier manners.

SARAVENGER – Approaching the 600m the mare had to be eased when racing in restricted room. Entering the home straight was checked when improved onto the heels of the weakening GOLDEN WHITT.

GOLDEN WHITT – Bumped on jumping. Leaving the 400m contacted the heels of JIMMY NEUTRON which had made contact with inside running rail, shifted out abruptly and became awkward. A short distance later whilst weakening was buffeted between runners. Jockey N Thomas reported after contacting the heels of JIMMY NEUTRON he had some concerns with the horse’s action and as a result desisted from riding the gelding out in his usual manner. A post-race veterinary examination did not identify any abnormal findings.


Race 6: MIDAS Fillies & Mares BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1200 metres

DAY PERFORMER (NZ) – Began awkwardly, Laid out under pressure in the home straight.

ABB ROY – Over-raced in the early stages. Improved on to heels and shifted wider to obtain clear running.

SWAHILI MAI – Over-raced in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

BOOM ROCKER – Passing the 100m had to be steadied after being placed awkwardly on the heels of ROSE BY DESIGN which shifted in to obtain clear running. Jockey G Goomany was reprimanded under AR131(a) for permitting his mount to shift ground when insufficiently clear.

SET TO GO WELL – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 100m improved onto heels and shifted in to obtain clear running.
