Stanley +1kg (55kg)As Rider M. Gray failed to arrive on-course, Stewards permitted the rider change as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Race 1: BEAUDESERT DERBY DAY NOVEMBER 2 ON SALE MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400 MAZUKI – Raced wide without cover throughout. VENCE – Tightened at the start. WOODY'S MATE – Began awkwardly. AMADOR – Slow to begin. ARTELUCE – Tightened at the start. GLISSA – Rider A. Jones reported the mare laid in when placed under pressure in the straight. MISS LINNY – After arriving on-course, the mare received farrier attention to both hind plates. NOT A GURU (NZ) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.BETTERSAIDTHANDONE – Slow to begin. After being held up near the 300m, steadied and shifted to the inside of ARTELUCE to obtain clear running. Race 2: TAB WE'RE ON QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1300 MThe start of this race was delayed by several minutes as NEVADA DREAMING refused to load. Subsequently, the filly was withdrawn at 12:39pm. Trainer S. Sixtus was advised the filly would be required to officially trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Ms Sixtus advised she has recommended to connections the filly be retired.On the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered all bets on NEVADA DREAMING to be refunded in full with the following deductions to apply:1st - I'M HEROIC – 0c win, 1c place. 2nd - HERE'S TO POWER – 1c place. 3rd - SECRET CAVIAR – 1c place. ROTATE – Slow into stride. Near the 600m, steadied when momentarily tightened by GOOD DAY MAE. Rider J. Stanley reported the gelding raced greenly throughout. CABO CASANOVA – Raced wide without cover for the majority. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. I'M HEROIC – Fractious in the gates. LIP SMACKER – Checked near the 1000m. Rider R. Maloney reported the filly, which was having its first start, raced greenly and will take benefit from the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. OCTABOOM – Slow to begin. GOOD DAY MAE – Began awkwardly. Approaching the 200m, became unbalanced behind. HERE'S TO POWER – When caught wide early, was ridden hard to obtain the lead near the 800m. SOWILO SIREN – Approaching the 1100m, steadied when tightened between I'M HEROIC and HE'S A WEAPON (M. Wishart), which shifted in. Rider M. Wishart was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Shortly thereafter, commenced to race keen and then shifted out abruptly, resulting in LIP SMACKER being checked. SECRET CAVIAR – Raced keenly in the middle stages. Race 3: PRYDE'S EASIFEED BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 2450 M SECRET SHEEMA (NZ) – In the early stages, raced wide without cover before settling at the rear near the 1800m.TARANAKI (NZ) – Rider R. Maloney reported when the pace of the race quickened approaching the 600m, the gelding was left flat footed and when asked for an effort, failed to respond. He added TARANAKI ran home fairly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. SAVILEO – Held up for clear running from the 300m until passing the 100m and went to the end of the race without being tested. SUBAQUA – Laid in under pressure in the straight. FIT AND PROPER – Began awkwardly. Commenced to weaken from the 400m, and near the 150m blundered, resulting in the horse suffering a catastrophic injury to the near foreleg and Rider C. Graham immediately responding in pulling the gelding up. FIT AND PROPER was humanely euthanized and post-mortem samples were taken for analysis. BUMP'N'RUN – Raced keenly in the lead. ANOTHER DAZZLER – Began awkwardly. Race 4: AQUIS BEAUDESERT RACEDAY NOVEMBER 15 BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1100 MBRAVE WARRIOR – Raced wide without cover for the majority. GROOMED – Fractious in the gates. Slow to begin. I AM A MARVEL – Slow to begin. ALBION SQUARE (GB) – Fractious in the gates. Race 5: BEAUDESERTRACECLUB.COM MAIDEN PLATE 1100 M BUN IN THE OVEN – Bumped at the start. Approaching the 400m, became momentarily unbalanced, shifted out and bumped ILANA THE FIRST.CRUMPETS – Near the 650m, got its head up and shifted out slightly towards the heels of BUN IN THE OVEN, which was racing tight to its outside and as a result CRUMPETS steadied. QUALITY MISS – Began awkwardly and bumped with BUN IN THE OVEN.ILANA THE FIRST – Bumped approaching the 400m. SHEEZ BRUTAFUL – Slow to begin. ROOM FOR SQUARES – Underwent a pre-race veterinary inspection after becoming fractious in the tie up stalls. Began awkwardly. Rider S. Collett reported the gelding failed to stretch out in the race and was tailed out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Jockey M. Gray was fined $200 pursuant to AR127(1) for failing to fulfill his riding engagement.SHINTARO LASS – Laid out under pressure in the home straight obliging Rider S. Cormack to stop and straighten the mare near the 50m. AIN'TNOSAINT – Held up for clear running from the 400m until near the 200m. TWOPOINTFOUR – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover for the majority. Race 6: TAB WE'RE ON BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1100 M CHISUM – Hampered for a short distance near the 400m when MORE LOVE (R. Jamieson) shifted out to improve. Rider R. Jamieson was severely reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident. CRYMENOTEARS – Slow to begin. Apprentice C. Sutherland reported the mare did not feel comfortable in its action in front during the race and on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer J. Townsend was advised CRYMENOTEARS would require veterinary clearance prior to resuming. QUEST OF QUESTS – Trainer O. Cairns was reprimanded pursuant to AR206(3) for presenting QUEST OF QUESTS without bar plates, which was part of the gelding’s approved gear. In not issuing a monetary penalty, it was noted that QUEST OF QUESTS was resuming from a spell. MARLEEDOONE – Steadied when buffeted between runners shortly after the start. QICKWIT – Began awkwardly. Raced wide without cover for the majority. Near the 150m, bumped by WORTHY ESSGEE (R. Maloney), which shifted out. Rider R. Maloney was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding have lost its off fore plate and a part of the hoof filling. It was noted the gelding was slightly tender in that leg. Race 7: PRYDE'S EASIFEED CLASS 4 PLATE 1200 MFAMOUS PEDRILLE – Raced wide without cover in the early stages. Laid out from the 600m until on straightening. MICRO – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. UNCLE RUSS – In the early stages raced keenly.LUCKY SHAM (NZ) – Raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. FLYING TYROL – Blundered on jumping. In the early stages raced keenly. Race 8: BEAUDESERTRACECLUB.COM BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400MBADGERS NUTS (NZ) – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 400m, became awkwardly placed close to the heels of THREE GONGS. COMMAND APPROVED – Apprentice D. McGillivray was reminded of his obligations to ride his mount to the end of the race, where possible. ROMAN HEIR – Raced wide without cover for the majority. LA PITTRICE – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Near the 100m, momentarily steadied and shifted in to avoid the heels of BADGERS NUTS (NZ) (Apprentice J. Williams), which shifted out under pressure. Apprentice J. Williams was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. BIGGIE – Began awkwardly. Rider S. Collett could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance, which weakened from the 300m. Race 9: TAB BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1400 MPASSIONATE REBEL – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the 300m until approaching the 200m. Apprentice J. Williams was reprimanded pursuant to AR131(b) for failing to ride his mount to the end of the race. OSTERBERG – Bumped at the start. HAYAKU – Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the 350m until approaching the 200m. Approaching the 200m, was carried out and tightened between PASSIONATE REBEL and TWISTED MISTRESS (J. Taylor), which shifted out from the heels of OSTERBERG. In not issuing a charge of careless riding against Rider J. Taylor, it was noted that he made efforts to correct his mount, however; he was severely reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident. BETTER THAN LOVE – Raced wide without cover for the majority. TEE AMICI – Began awkwardly. Passing the 400m, steadied when crowded by MIDNIGHT IN AUSTIN, which hung in despite the efforts of Rider T. Brooker. CRIMSON SKY – Slow into stride at the start. Held up for clear running from the 400m until the 200m. JUBILANT – As Jockey J. Huxtable was indisposed and unable to make the weight, he was replaced by K. Zechner. Rider J. Huxtable was reprimanded pursuant to AR190(3). Laid in under pressure in the home straight.FIDDLER ONTHE ROOF – Shifted in at the start and bumped OSTERBERG. ZEPHYRZ ZOOM – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. MIDNIGHT IN AUSTIN – Became fractious in the mounting enclosure and harmlessly dislodged rider T.
