Race 1 - Maiden Plate (1300 METRES)
FEND OFF – Shifted in near the 1200 metres when not fully clear, resulting in both YARRA SPIRIT and WEATHER MAN having to be steadied.  G Geran, rider of FEND OFF, was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
STRAPPED – Blundered on jumping and lost ground.  When asked to comment on the below performance, rider G Walters explained the gelding was not suited to the tight turning track.  Stewards noted the explanation.
WEATHER MAN – Steadied near the 1200 metres.
NAYTELLRHI BIRD – Jumped out at the start bumping MISS PIXIE.  A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed a superficial wound to the near foreleg.
MISS PIXIE – Bumped at the start.
SERIOUSLY UNUSUAL – Slow to begin.
YARRA SPIRIT – Tightened near 1200 metres.
 
Race 2 - Class B Handicap (1300 METRES)
CHEVRONS’N’ROCKERS – After beginning awkwardly, slow to muster speed in the early stages.  Raced wide in the middle stages.
MAXIMUM HUSTLE – Shifted in approaching the 1000 metres when not fully clear, resulting in VINCIT being crowded for room.  App A Jones, rider of MAXIMUM HUSTLE, was advised to exercise greater care.
VINCIT – Crowded for room near the 1000 metres.  When asked to comment on the below-market performance, rider G Geran stated after being crossed by runners nearing the 1000 metres, VINCIT failed to respond to his riding from that point and proved disappointing.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
BEACH CLUB – Raced wide in the early stages.  Obliged to shift out around heels approaching the 1000 metres to obtain clear running.
COMFORTABLY NUMB – Had to be steadied from heels of VINCIT near the 1150 metres.
SIRATRO – Slow to begin.
WE WANT IT ALL – Fractious after being loaded into the barriers.
 
Race 3 - BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1200 METRES)
MUSIC SCENE – Bumped with ZAITEKI at the start.  Rider L McCoy dropped her whip 500 metres.
HIDDEN BUDGET – After being slow to begin, unable to muster speed in the early and middle stages. Rider B Newport advised the mare was not suited by the firm ttrack conditions.
ZAITEKI – Bumped with MUSIC SCENE at the start.
VALAR DOHAERIS – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 4 - QTIS Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)
KARTANUP – Jumped in at the start bumping WHITSUNDAY LAD.
MAEVILA RULER – Severely hampered at the start. Raced wide for majority of the event.
FLYING BENNY – Raced in restricted room to the inside of WHITSUNDAY LAD over the final 100 metres.
WHITSUNDAY LAD – Bumped at the start. Shifted in under pressure over the final 150 metres.
CHAMPAGNE SALLY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as the mare had not started for an extended period.  Shifted in abruptly at the start.  Laid in under pressure in the home straight resulting in its rider being unable to fully test the mare.
TEMUJIN LASS – Crowded for room and checked near the 200 metres when WHITSUNDAY LAD shifted in.  App M Savva, rider of WHITSUNDAY LAD, was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised to exercise greater care.  Laid in under pressure for majority of the home straight.
DRACONIAN HEART – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Race 5 - QTIS Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)
GREAT BRAVE – Near the 800 metres, when racing in restricted room, shifted in and contacted the inside running rail.  On pulling up the off-side stirrup iron broke, resulting in App A Jones being dislodged.  App Jones was examined by QAS staff and cleared to fulfil her remaining engagements.
SGURR MOR – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as the gelding had not started for an extended period.
SHOTGUN SONNY – Laid in during the early stages and near the 700 metres shifted in, despite the efforts of its rider, hampering MISS DAISY.
NIKSICKO – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
REBEL REBELLION – Made the crossing near the 200 metres very awkwardly and became unbalanced and lost ground.
ARMOUR VOLE – Raced three-wide without cover for majority of the event.
MISS CRUISEY – Inconvenienced near the 600 metres when ARMOUR VOLE shifted in momentarily before being corrected by its rider.
MISS DAISY – Hampered near the 700 metres.
WYETH – Slow to begin.
ZARAGIGI – Made the crossing near the 200 metres awkwardly.
 
Race 6 - BENCHMARK 50 Handicap (1000 METRES)
KENTFORD – Bumped making the crossing near the 200 metres.
DANCING TALES – Raced wide for majority of the event.
MISS CHARLEE LYN – Raced three-wide with cover for majority of the event.
RAKU’S SECRET – Slow to begin.
CHEEKY MILA – Jumped in at the start making heavy contact with STRIVE TO SUCCEED which lost ground.
PETITE ELLE – Raced three-wide with cover for the majority.  Over-raced in the middle stages.  Tightened for room and had to be checked near the 250 metres when CHEEKY MILA shifted in.  App A Bakos, rider of CHEEKY MILA was reprimanded under AR131(a) for carelessness.
STRIVE TO SUCCEED – Bumped at the start and lost ground.
CATHVALANNA – Proved difficult to load and delayed the start.  Trainer P W Webster was advised a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners.
KONNICHIWA – Made the crossing near the 200 metres awkwardly and shifted out, bumping KENTFORD.
MUNGARA – Began awkwardly.
AGENT ALBERT – Race four-wide for majority of the event.
