RACE 1: VAUGHAN JOHNSON LOGISITCS PTY LTD/ BROOK PROPRIETORS 0-55 HHCAP 1200M-
 
HIDDEN ROAD- Raced ungenerously in the early stages.
 
RACE 2: LANDMARK (QUILPIE)/ARRABURY PASTORAL CO/ GEORGE OURNE & ASSOC. CLASS 5 HHCAP 1000M-
 
IIM A ZULU- Declared at late scratching at 12:30pm by order of the Stewards acting on Veterinary Advice after striking its head in its stable.
 
FINNIGANNS FOLLY- Saddle shifted to the near side on pulling up resulting in Jockey J Babarovich being dislodged. As Stewards were satisfied that FINNIGANNS FOLLY carried its allotted weight during the event, correct weight was declared in the absence of Jockey Babarovich weighing in whilst he was examined by the ambulance official.
 
Jockey Babarovich was cleared by the ambulance officer of any apparent injuries and continued riding throughout the meeting.
 
RACE 3: OAKEY BEEF PTY LTD QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M-
 
SEAFORE- Was scratched due to no rider being available.
 
No racing incidents.
 
RACE 4: PE & GC HARRIS ROAD CONTRACTORS/ ELDERS RURAL SERVICES OPEN HHCAP 1000M-
 
After the declaration of Correct Weight, it was identified that a number runners jumped out of the incorrect barrier stalls. Stewards after taking evidence from the Starter and the riders in the race identified that the error was attributable to a procedural mistake on behalf of the Starter. Nevertheless all riders were reminded of their obligations under AR 128(1).
SAMMY SPARROW- Commenced to buck shortly after the start and lost considerable ground. Trainer T Austin was advised that SAMMY SPARROW would be required to perform a Barrier Test in the presence of a Steward prior to the gelding next racing.
 
 
 
RACE 5: MCINNES WILSON BETOOTA CUP OPEN HHCAP 1600M-
 
EYE WINSOME- Was scratched due to no rider being available.
 
REFUSTRESS- Slow into stride.
 
EYE THE WORLD- On return to scale R Hancock reported that when the pace of the race quickened near the 1000m his mount was left flat footed and lost ground, which he attributed to the 63kg weight impost the gelding was carrying today. Jockey Hancock added that when able to balance up in the home straight the gelding ran on fairly.

RACE 6: MORTONNS FAREWELL CLASS B HHCAP 800M-
 
COCOA LABELLE- Dipped shortly after the start.
 
SURF SKI- Hung out for the majority of the event and shifted wider on the track rounding the home turn despite the efforts of its rider.
 
KENTUCKIAN- Clipped heels and blundered rounding the home turn when SURF SKI hung out and shifted wider despite the efforts of its rider.
 
ULTIMATE TESTA- Hung in in the home straight.
