MortonStewards Secretary – Stewards GENERAL Due to a race day patron taking ill and needing urgent medical assistance from both the Queensland Ambulance Service and Royal Flying Doctorall races were amended to start at the following times.Race 1, 2:15pm Race 2, 3:00pmRace 3, 3:40pm Race 4, 4:20pm Race 5, 5:00pm Race 6, 5:35pm Race 1: BROOK PASTORAL COMPANY/CAMRANDALE TRANSPORTBENCHMARK 50 Handicap (1200 METRES) HAMMOON SWEETHEART, approaching the 450 metres was forced to check and steady from heels when STROKE OF MAGIC shifted out. Jockey B Richardson (the rider of STROKE OF MAGIC) was issued with a reprimand under AR131(a). CAITLIN’S ANGEL, began awkwardly. KICK IT BABY, laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. STRAWBERRY BLONDE, was inclined to lay in throughout. STROKE OF MAGIC, tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Race 2: PE & GC HARRIS CONTRACTORS/MCINNES WILSON LAWYERS RATINGS 0-60 Handicap (1000 METRES) FLASH FIBIAN, rider David Rewald reported that he struck his right knee on the gate when leaving the barriers. Jockey Rewald was inspected by the Queensland Ambulance and was cleared to continue riding. BLACKADDER, began awkwardly, Jockey J Pracey - Holmes was issues a seven day suspension under the provisions of AR132(5) for his use of the whip 18 times in totality to commence midnight 5th September and to conclude midnight 12 September 2022. TUSCAN LEATHER, bumped on jumping. REAL VALENTIA, began awkwardly making contact with another runner on the outside. Race 3: OAKEY BEEF QTIS Maiden Plate (1000 METRES) ANDAMAN, forced outwards on jumping. MATAGORDA, began awkwardly and laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. COUNTRY ROADS, Jockey B Richardson was reprimanded under AR132(5) for her use of the whip 15 times in totality. HYPE WIRE, slow to begin. NANNU, began awkwardly forcing runners on the outside wider on the track. Race 4: SANTOS LTD OPEN Handicap (1000 METRES) KRONOS, was inclined to lay out in the early and middle stages. CAMBOOYA ROCK, underwent a pre race veterinary inspection behind the barriers and was cleared to start. Proved very difficult to load. SONS OF BOURKE, hung out rounding the home turn. Race 5: BETOOTA CUP OPEN Handicap (1600 METRES) ANOTHER PLAN, slow into stride. GYPSY BIKER, laid in under pressure in the home straight when placed under pressure. Race 6: BETOOTA ADVOCATE CLASS B Handicap (800 METRES) GHETTO, slow into stride. Jockey John Keating was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100 metres. DO YOU BEST, approaching the 700 metres was placed in restricted room and was forced to steady when KOOKY KANGAROO was taken in by FIERY EXCHANGE which hung in despite the best efforts of its rider.
