RACING QUEENSLAND STEWARDS REPORT BARCOO AMATEUR RACE CLUB – SATURDAY 15TH JULY, 2017 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT (3) RAIL – TRUE ENTIRE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – Ms K. McCrackenClerk of Scales – L. KingsJudge – M. Butler/R. KingsVeterinarian – S. McClymontStarter- A. Allom Race 1: SCOBIE’S SADDLERY CLASS B HANDICAP - 1050 metres BOLD TRAVELLER and CRIXUS were both late scratchings at 12:30pm as there were no riders available. BUSH BELLA – Contacted at the start. WINSDOR CASTLE – Jockey M. Abe was permitted to ride 2kg overweight as there were no other riders available and was fined $100 under AR120(b). Jumped outwards contacting another runner and raced ungenerously throughout. Jockey M. Abe was at a loss to explain the poor performance of the gelding and a post-race veterinary inspection showed no abnormalities. BURJ AL – Jumped away awkwardly nearly dislodging the jockey, then over raced in the early stages and travelled wide for much of the event. Race 2: TIM’S WORKSHOP CLASS 6 PLATE - 1200 metres HUSSON’S SHOUT – Travelled wide for much of the event. BOJOURA – Travelled wide in the early and middle stages. Race 3: BLACKALL IGA MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres MISTRESS OF MONEY was fractious in the barrier prior to jumping and reared. After being removed from the barrier to be inspected the gates of the barriers opened effecting a false start.IMPLICATE (R. Hancock) and MISS MARLO (M.Abe) were unable to be restrained and completed the course. FLORIDA ROAD (J. Lee-Brand) was reasonably restrained and completed the course under a strong hold. All runners underwent a veterinary inspection before being able to be reloaded. IMPLICATE and MISS MARLO were late scratchings at 2.54pm on veterinary advice. Deductions were announced with correct weight being 25 cents in the dollar value of win bets and 25 cents in the dollar value of place bets. TRUE TIME – Jumped away awkwardly and raced ungenerously throughout. SHE DRIVES MECRAZY – Jumped away awkwardly. Race 4: BLACKALL HARDWARE AND FURNITURE BM 55 HANDICAP - 1400 metres BOJOURA was a late scratching at 12:30pm as there was no rider available. CHATARA – Slow to begin. PARANA – Slow away. FINNIGAN’S FOLLY – Slow into stride. MISHANI CENTURION – Travelled wide throughout. Race 5: NOEL ALLOM MEMORIAL RACE TO ROMA QUALIFER OPEN HANDICAP - 1400 metres Race 5 was run 20 minutes ahead of advertised starting time due to possible inclement weather. CHAMPAGNE TALES – Slow to begin. SAMMY SPARROW – Eased at the 200m and had to change course when an inside runner shifted ground. ONE GREY – Shifted out near the 200m hindering another runner. Apprentice J. Lee-Brand was reminded of her obligation to keep her mount straight when not sufficiently clear. STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY Summary of action concerning licensees Fines – M.
