RACING QUEENSLAND STEWARDS REPORT BLACKALL RACE CLUB – SATURDAY 21st JULY 2018 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – Mr G MeekSwabbing Official - Mr M NewmanClerk of Scales – L KingsJudge – Mr J BanksVeterinarian – B NewtonBookmakers Supervisor – StewardsStarter – Mr A Allom Race 1: ANDERSON & HARRIS BOOKMAKERS BenchMark 45 1400 METRES GRAVITY FORCE - Stood flat footed and missed the start by several lengths. Trainer Evan Brassington was advised that GRAVITY FORCE must pass a satisfactory stewards barrier jump out before racing again. PARANA - Slow to into stride. Jockey Brooke Richardson was issued with a reprimand in regards to whip use when out of contention. Race 2: TIMS WORKSHOP Class 3 Plate 1300 METRES COOL RAIN - Slow into stride. BARBERANCE - Slow into stride and raced three wide throughout without cover. BAYSIDE BANDIT - Checked by another runner near the 1100 metres. NEVADO MO - Jockey Joshua King shifted in near the 1100 metres forcing another runner to check. Jockey Joshua King was issued with a reprimand for shifting ground when not clear to do so. Race 3: JOHN DOLGNER APPRECIATION RACE Maiden Plate 1200 METRES WONZERO - Slow into stride. App. Alisha Ross was issued with a reprimand in regards to whip use when out of contention. Race 4: KINGS RURAL CONTRACTING Class 2 Plate 1050 METRES PUREBECK - Proved difficult to load in the barriers. Jumped out at the start and raced four wide throughout without cover. On return to the enclosure was found to be making a loud respiratory noise, and was subsequently sent for a post-race veterinary inspection. The veterinary surgeon was unable to find any abnormalities. BOLD TRAVELLER - Raced four wide throughout without cover. SILVER FOX - Raced three wide without cover. KICKSTARTER - Knuckled badly at the start. IRON JAKE - Dipped on jumping and then was bumped by another runner shortly after the start. GESSNER - Jumped outwards at the start bumping another runner. Jockey Luke Dillon pleaded guilty to a charge under AR137A(5)(a)(ii) in regards to whip use more than 5 times prior to the 100 metres. Jockey Luke Dillon was fined $100. Race 5: NOEL ALLOM MEMORIAL CUP OPEN Handicap 1050 METRES BENCHI PEGASUS - Fractious prior to the start. MAKE AMENDS - Jumped out at the start then raced three wide throughout without cover. STYLISH SON - Began awkwardly. RHYTHM NATION - Raced wide throughout without cover.
