Race 1: ANDERSON AND HARRIS BOOKMAKERS BM 65 HANDICAP - 1400 metres
 
 
There was a lengthy delay to the start of race one as the veterinary surgeon had to attend to an emergency prior to the races.
 
SUPER KEAN was a late scratching at 12.50pm as there was no suitable jockey available.
 
TURKEY BEACH – Travelled wide for much of the race.
 
MISHANI CENTURION – Galloped into restricted room near the 1000m and had to be restrained losing ground.
 
AMADEO – Slow into stride.
 
BARBERANCE – Jumped away awkwardly and slow, rolled in near the 1000m restricting another runner and held up for clear running down the home straight.
 
The starter A. Allom was kicked at the start and was taken to hospital to be assessed. P. Banks was the starter for race two and M. Cullen started the remainder of the races.
 
 
Race 2: BLACKALL TAMBO REGIONAL COUNCIL MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres 
 
 
CAPTAIN LAS – Slow into stride and raced greenly.
 
ZODIAC STAR – Raced greenly in several stages of the race.
 
 
Race 3: DAYBREAK FODDER CLASS 3 PLATE - 1200 metres  
 
SNIP’N’DRIFT – Slow into stride and travelled wide for much of the race.
 
BLAZING ISSUE – Slow to begin, resented the kick back and travelled wide in the middle and late stages of the race.
 
 
Race 4: NOEL ALLOM MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP - 1200 metres  
 
HEROIC ACTION – Travelled wide for much of the race. Pulled up sore and distressed. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the gelding was sore all over. Trainer T. Austin was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the horse racing again.
 
DRAYMAN – Contacted at the start.
 
ME MYSELF AND I – Was declared a late scratching at 4.03pm when the veterinarian withdrew the gelding being slightly lame in the near side foreleg. Trainer R. Simpson was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the horse racing again. Deductions were announced when correct weight was given being 12 cents in the dollar value of win bets and 12 cents in the dollar value of place bets.
 
WICKED WOODY – Slow to muster speed.
 
SIR CHARLESTON – Jumped outwards contacting an outside runner, contacted the inside running rail at the 700m when overreacting to runners shifting ground around him.
 
 
Race 5: KINGS RURAL CONTACTING CLASS B HANDICAP - 1050 metres      
 
 
AURIC GOLD – Slow into stride.
 
ROCKY GAMBLE – Raced around in the home straight.
 
WITHOUT DISSENT – Slow into stride.
