SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS
 
Due to inclement weather approaching, Stewards consulted with senior riders and Race Club officials at 2.55pm and the decision was made to bring forward the starting times for race 4 and race 5. Race 4 was run at 3:15pm and Race 5 run 3:45pm
 
Stewards accepted the explanation of trainer Wayne Meek for the late declaration of a rider for HEY MURRI in Race 5.
 
An incident that occurred between Jockeys J Stephens and L Attard in the scales area will be inquired into at a later date.
 
Race 1:  BLACKWATER HOTEL MOTEL QTIS Maiden Plate 950 METRES
 
MORANO BELL was declared a late scratching at 1.43pm by stewards acting on veterinary advice. Stewards ordered all monies invested on MORANA BELL to be refunded and that the following deductions were to occur, 11c on all win bets on DRAGON FIRE and 8c on all place bets on DRAGON FIRE and INFRANGIBLE.
Trainer Bill Trimble was advised a warning was placed on MORANO BELL for being difficult to load and was also required to produce a veterinary certificate of soundness before starting again.
GRANDZONE ROCKET bucked and dislodged the rider during its preliminary and was captured a short time later. After undergoing a veterinary examination at the barriers was cleared to start. Approximately 100 metres after the start commenced to buck for some distance, after being reined in by the rider failed to take the home turn and was pulled up out of the race.
Trainer John Manzelmann was advised that GRANDZONE ROCKET must perform two barriers trials to the satisfaction of stewards before racing again.
 
DRAGON FIRE – Knuckled badly at the start and lost considerable ground, then raced wide throughout.
 
ROSE OR BUD - Raced wide throughout without cover.
 
SAY CHEESE – Raced wide throughout.
 
At the 200 metres ROSE OR BUD shifted in sharply way from DRAGON FIRE and bumped IFRANGIBLE.
 
 
Race 2:   MCINTOSH TRUCK & BOBCAT HIRE BenchMark 65 Handicap 950 METRES
 
DUAN THEO - Slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
 
I’M CHILLIN – Raced wide throughoutwithout cover.Returned to the enclosure with blood present in both nostrils. As this was the first time it has bled, trainer Henry Forster was advised that I’M CHILLIN was barred for 3 months and must also pass a 1000m trial to the satisfaction of stewards.
 
Race 3: SCHWARZ EXCAVATIONS BenchMark 60 Handicap 1200 METRES

INACTION - Knuckled at the start losing ground,raced wide throughout without cover.
 
MUSCOVY – Rider lost whip at 200metres.
 
Race 4: CH AUTO Class B Handicap 1300 METRES
 
DRAGON ROCKET commenced to buck for some distance shortly after the start and was pulled up out of the race.Trainer John Manzelmann was advised that DRAGON ROCKET must perform a barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards before racing again.
 
RENEGADE RUBY - Raced wide throughout without cover.
 
ORCHID AVENUE - Raced wide throughoutwithout cover.
 
 
Race 5: T&J WHITEHOUSE BLUFF CUP BenchMark 55 Handicap 1800 METRES
 
GREY PARIZ was declared a late scratching at 15.44pm by stewards acting on veterinary advice. Stewards ordered all monies invested on GREY PARIZ to be refunded and that the following deductions were to occur, 27c on all win bets on GREY PARIZ and 19c on all place bets on GREY PARIZ and 25c on all place bets on GO AS YOU PLEASE and CLASPED.
 
ALL GIRL slow into stride, raced wide throughout without cover.
