RACE 1: KABS PLUMBING BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1000M  
 
TOO MANY LIES – As no other suitable rider was available, J. Esser was permitted to ride the gelding 2kg over its allocated weight.
 
DANPIVOT – Was examined by veterinary surgeon on arriving at the barriers at the request of its rider and was cleared to start. Was eased out of the race leaving the 600m when becoming awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in its off front fetlock. Trainer R. Herman was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to the horse being permitted to race again. Mr Herman advised Stewards it his intention that the gelding now be retired from racing.

RACE 2: BRETT & MARI GUNDERSEN – WATER TRUCK HIRE MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M 
 
MY MIND IS MADE UP – As no other suitable rider was available, J. Esser was permitted to ride the gelding 2kg over its allocated weight. Began awkwardly and hung out in the early stages of the race.
 
SUDDENLY SPICE – Fractious in the barriers prior to start.  
VALENTINE’S DAY – Slow to begin.
 
CZARIST – Slow into stride.
 
RACE 3: GRIMSHAW MEMORIAL BRACELET QTIS RATING BAND 0 – 50   H’CAP – 1200M 
 
OUR HUSSLER – As no other suitable rider was available, J. Esser was permitted to ride the gelding .5kg over its allocated weight.
 
GULLY GOSH – As no other suitable rider was available, D. Ballard was permitted to ride the gelding 2kg over its allocated weight.   

THE FAB THREE – As no other suitable rider was available, S. McGovern was permitted to ride the gelding .5kg over its allocated weight. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
JETTY BETTY – Slow to begin.   

RACE 4: TOBY & GEM HARRIS ROAD CONTRACTORS BOULIA CUP OPEN PLATE – 1200M 
 
CHASE THE DRAGON – When questioned into the performance, rider D. Ballard stated that   when the pace quickened approaching the 400m the gelding was flatfooted and unable to sprint at that point and lost ground, however once balanced up was able to finish the race off strongly.   
 
RACE 5: GOODWOOD PASTORAL COMPANY RATINGS BAND 0 – 65   H'CAP – 1200M 
 
ROCK SPARK – Raced wide in the early stages of the race.
