Woodham Race 1: THANK YOU ENID VAUGHAN QTIS 2YO MAIDEN H'CAP – 1000M As L. Tilley was unable to make the allotted weight on CRAIGLEA GRACE, he was replaced by B. Thomson as the rider of that horse. L. Tilley was fined the sum of $100. ZIGGI ROCKS – As A. Butler was unable to make the allotted weight on the gelding, he was replaced by D. Simmons. A. Butler was fined the sum of $100. Tightened for room on jumping away and shifted out when being checked, making heavy contact with the hind quarters of another runner. Was again hampered shortly after the start when racing greenly. Raced greenly in the home straight. LUCKY ANGUS – Tightened for room on jumping away and was checked. CRAIGLEA MALACHI – Proved difficult to load. Raced greenly for the majority of the event. Rider J. Stanley advised he felt the horse was awkward in its action and as a result did not place the horse under any real pressure during the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. BOSS BABY – Bumped heavily on the hind quarters on jumping away, becoming unbalanced, and shortly after shifted in when racing greenly, hampering another runner. Raced greenly for the majority of the event and as a result shifted ground under pressure in the home straight. VAMPARINA – Began very awkwardly and shifted out abruptly at the start, inconveniencing other runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a poor recovery. Connections advised the horse would now be sent for a spell. Race 2: OAK FLAVOURED MILK MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M CRAIGLEA WARKAT was declared a late scratching at 2:11 pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was lame in the near foreleg. Stable representative S. Johnston was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided for the gelding before it is permitted to race again. On the announcement of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on CRAIGLEA WARKAT be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers placed prior to 2:11 pm:2 cents in the dollar for the win #114 cents in the dollar for place of winner #113 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #93 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #10 MIGHTY MEERKAT – Slow to begin and was then bumped by another runner. Laid in despite the efforts of its rider near the 700m, tightening another runner. ARITOMO – Race three wide in the early stages and laid in near the 700m, crowding a runner to its inside. CLEVER FOX – Checked near the 700m when tightened for room by another runner which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. COOL KITTY – After being slow to begin, began very awkwardly and shifted out, bumping another runner. DAESY DANORO – Slow to begin. The saddle slipped back shortly after the start, placing the rider at a distinct disadvantage and unable to ride the horse out. Lost its off hind plate during running. Race 3: THANK YOU BEV DYNE QTIS 3YO H'CAP – 1200M As L. Tilley was unable to make the allotted weight on GOWAY GIRL, he was replaced by B. Thomson as the rider of that horse. L. Tilley was fined the sum of $100. GRACIE BELLE – Race three wide without cover for the majority of the event. POETIC ATTACKS – Began awkwardly. Race 4: ICE BREAK BOLD EXPRESSO CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1000M GRAZIE MILLE BELLA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. HE’S STIRLING – Raced wide for the majority of the event. ARCHIE’S SON – Raced wide for the majority of the event. SAN VITTORIA – Slow to begin. LORD MAL – Have a tendency to hang out for the majority of the race, proving difficult to ride out. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer N. Seymour was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse’s racing manners. Race 5: LENORE BROWN CLASS 3 PLATE – 1470M REACTANT – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. SALLY’S SPIRIT – Rider N. Nelson dropped her offside rein near the 200m before regaining it a short distance later, placing her at a disadvantage. Race 6: BROWNS MILK SUPPLY OPEN H'CAP – 1200M MORE THAN A SONG – Declared a late scratching at 2.07pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice after shifting its off fore plate and showing soreness. RECALCULATE – Slow to begin. CASTA – Slow to begin. STELLAR KNIGHT – Slow to begin. Commenced to overrace leaving the 800m and then had to be restrained from heels near the 750m when the pace slackened. KIRABO – Commenced to overrace leaving the 800m and then had to be checked when tightened for room by another runner which hung in near the 750m despite the efforts of its rider. OUR BOY PENDLES – Commenced to hang in approaching the 750m and shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider, causing another runner to be checked. SABA LASS – Commenced to overrace leaving the 800m and was then checked from heels near the 750m when the pace slackened. Race 7: BROWNS BP MERINDA BENCHMARK 60 H'CAP – 1200M ESCADAY – Jockey J. Stanley was dislodged on pulling up when the horse appeared to shy. Jockey Stanley advised stewards that he had slight soreness to the left wrist but had relatively escaped any injury. BROKEN FINGER – Raced wide for the majority of the event. FERINGO – Slow to begin. KAHUNA – Overraced in the early stages. STRONG WILL – Began awkwardly. LIKER – Began awkwardly.
