Replacement riders were engaged as per Race Day Summary.Race 1 – ARABON SEAFOODS / INDUSTRY FIRE SERVICES BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000mMalizia – Slowly away. Was unable to muster early pace. Trailed the field throughout. Jockey W D’Avila was reminded of his obligation in relation to whip use when his mount is out of contention.Delta Magic – Raced wide from the 700m.Evil Eye Mac – Hung out near the 500m having to be steadied. Laid in down the running placing Jockey P Cullen at a disadvantage.Authentic Swing – Jockey G Watson reported the gelding was inclined to lay in over the latter stages.Gingersnap – The gelding which was resuming after a 6 months absence from racing, having been unplaced at 7 previous first up attempts, tired noticeably over the concluding stages. Jockey C Whiteley, who advised that the mare had been unresponsive to his urgings over the concluding stages, was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the finish of the race. Race 2 – BROWNS MILK SUPPLY / BROWNS BP MERINDA BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200mSound Investment – Fractious in the barrier. Was unable to muster early pace.Anne Catherine – Shifted out when restrained after improving onto heels near the 800m and bumped with another runner becoming unbalanced as a result.Cousin Muscles – Became unbalanced after being bumped by another runner near the 800m. Fairfacts – Laid in under pressure down the running. Was hampered approaching the winning post by another runner which shifted out under pressure. Jockey G Watson was fined the sum of $100.00 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(i) for use of the whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m. We’ll Beat It – Shifted out under pressure approaching the winning post hampering another runner. Jockey D Edmonds was advised to stop riding and straighten his mount in similar circumstances.Race 3 – TROPICAL PACKAGING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1280mDue to a miscommunication Shaka Diamond which was withdrawn by order of Stewards at 12.00pm due to no rider being available was included in the field during betting. Stewards subsequently ordered prior to the declaration of Correct Weight that all monies wagered on Shaka Diamond be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event be subject to deductions of 6 cents in the dollar win and 7 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket.Eroe – Slowly away. Raced ungeneroyusly in the early and middle stages. Hung in at the 800m turn placing another runner in restricted room.Animal Spirits – Raced ungenerously for a short distance soon after jumping. Raced wide in the early and middle stages.Wakool– Bumped by another runner soon after jumping.Chandon Kisses – Inconvenienced when racing in restricted room near the 800m. Shifted ground outwards to obtain clear running on the home straight.Race 4 – QUEENS BEACH HOTEL / XXXX LION NATHAN COUNTRY CUPS CHALL. QUAL / BOWEN BATTLERS CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1470mStone Warrior – Slowly into stride. Shifted wider passing the 600m in order to improve.Winsomemore – Over-raced in the early and middle stages having to be restrained on several occasions and shifting ground hampering runners to its outside.Buxton – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Forced wider on the track by runners to its inside near the 1000m.Luvya Beak – Shifted out and away from another runner which was racing ungenerously near the 1200m forcing a runner to its outside wider.Race 5 – ABBOT POINT OPERATIONS BOWEN CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1810mArno Bay – Slowly away. Raced wide from the 500m for the remainder of the race.Elle A Walker – Slowly away. Raced wide from the 500m for the remainder of the race.Good Catch – Slowly away.Deja Doom – Tired noticeably over the concluding stages.Hostile Lily – Underwent a veterinary examination post-race.
