SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT

Home Hill- June 19, 2021

Race 2. Connolly Suthers Lawyers Class B Handicap 1180m

Stewards today inquired into the reason VARSITY (M Haley) blundered and dislodged its rider passing the 200m. After reviewing the patrol footage and taking evidence from the riders involved it was ascertained that VARSITY, which was racing keenly, had improved into a precarious position to the inside of HIBACHI MISS (J Felix) rounding the home turn and on entering into the home straight improved onto and clipped that runners heels, blundered and dislodged its rider. As no rider could be held accountable and the incident was predominantly attributable to the racing manners of VARSITY, Stewards determined the event to be a racing incident and no further action was taken.
