Race 1: RATINGS BAND 0- 60 Handicap 1000 metres
 
Music Scene – Hampered at start.
 
Golden Athena – Slow into stride.
 
Boomalina – Shifted in at the600 metres causing Broadwater which was racing ungenerously, to be eased. Apprentice I. Teh was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for not allowing sufficient clearance when crossing.
 
Broadwater – Jumped sharply inwards causing Flaming Homer to be severely checked and taken in onto Music Scene which had to be steadied. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Eased at the 600 metres when another runner shifted ground.
 
Race 2: OPEN Handicap 1200 metres
 
Agustawynd – Shifted outwards under pressure over the final 100 metres.
 
Sogni – Jockey J Felix was unable to make the allocated weight and was replaced by Jockey P Romeo. JockeyJ Felix was fined $100 under the provisions of AR190(3).
 
Race 3: CLASS B Handicap 1200 metres
 
Elviare – Jumped inwards at the start hampering River Daisy.
 
Line of Kings – Crowded for room at the 600 metres.
 
Dovi’s Day – Shifted in marginally at the 600 metres.
 
River Daisy – Hampered on jumping.
 
On Your Skates - At the 600 metres Dovi’s Day which was racing in a three wide position,shifted in marginally taking Line of Kings inwards onto On Your Skates which in turn lost ground. Apprentice Brooke Johnson was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for allowing Dovi’s Day to shift in at that point.
 
Race 4: QTIS Maiden Plate 1200 metres
 
Mishani Patriot – Slow into stride.
 
Spanish Beans – Slow to begin. At the 600 metres Spanish Beans which was racing in a rearward position on the rails, slipped behind and became unbalanced momentarily. Spanish Beans then shifted out and contacted the hind quarters of Angels Landing which was steadied.
 
Kingmate – Raced three wide throughout.
 
Torque with Pride - Raced three wide throughout.
 
Angels Landing – Checked at the 600 metres when another runner shifted out.
 
 
Race 5: BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1470 metres
 
Collombatti – Jockey P Romeo was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding. Jockey Romeo advised that Collombatti was never travelling kindly in the run and was off the bit for most of the event. He stated that when ridden hard on straightening Collombatti failed to run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Hunua Hank (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
Milky Rocket - Slow into stride.
