GENERAL

Prior to the running of Race 1, following a report from the CEO of the Bowen Turf Club, Stewards inspected a section of the track near the 840 metres where damage had occurred due to a leaking water pipe located on the outside rail. Seepage from the pipe had reached the track to approximately 5 metres off the inside rail. In consultation with senior riders, the track was deemed safe, and all riders were advised of and made aware of that section of the track.
