Race 1: HYGAIN BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000m
 
AMERICAN HERO – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
 
MOLONGLE DREAM – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
MOLONGLE MAGIC – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
HAYYLER’S ILLUSION - Raced wide rounding the home turn. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off fore fetlock Trainer Ms. T Leake was advised that a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to HAYYLER’S ILLUSION being again permitted to start in a race.
 
SEEKTOWIN – Raced wide for the majority.
 
SUNNY CHIEF - Raced wide for the majority. Jockey M Abe was cautioned in relation to his use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
Race 2: FEED 2 GO MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
 
OUR CONSOLATION – Raced wide for the majority.
 
GREEK ROSE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
MY STEEL HEART - Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 3: BUSH TO BEACH REAL ESTATE BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1200m
 
As Jockey D Sparks was unable to attend the race meeting he was replaced by P Cullen as the rider of HIDONAL.
 
CRYSTAL BEAR - Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
HIDONAL – Slowly away.
 
ARNHEM BEAUTY – Jockey N Nelson advised that the mare was reluctant to stretch out after passing the 800m due to resenting the kickback in running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
CRAIGLEA ODYSSEY - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 4: TJC LIFE/PAST MEMBERS CLASS B HANDICAP 1400m
 
CENTENARIO – Slowly away. Jockey Ms. C Jokic was fined the sum of $300 under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m. (13 times). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account Ms. Jokic’s previous exemplary record in relation to the rule.
 
ZEDAHEEL – Slowly away. Was unable to muster early pace.
 
Race 5: TMP CIVIL SERVICES P/L CHARTERS TOWERS CUP PRELUDE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1600m
 
CATASTROPHE KISS – Shifted out marginally when rounding the turn near the 1500m inconveniencing another runner. Jockey J Felix was advised to exercise more care under similar circumstances.
 
DIAMOND RACER – Was inconvenienced near the 1500m. Raced ungenerously for the majority due to resenting the kickback in running.

Absent Jockeys: Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by Jockey D Sparks in relation to his non-attendance at the race meeting.
Rider changes: Race 3. HIDONAL was ridden by P Cullen.
