Clarke Race 1 – CAPRICORN YEARLING SALE APRIL 14TH MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M GROUP SESSION – Declared a late scratching at 2.45pm when the gelding was unable to be loaded into the barriers. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on GROUP SESSIONS were to be refunded and that all winning bets be paid less nine (9) cents in the dollar for the win and less twelve (12) cents in the dollar for the place on the face value of the tickets. Trainer T. Parry was advised that the gelding must successfully complete a barrier jump out prior to starting again. ADOREE – Was reluctant to load into the barriers. APPLEHEART – Slow to begin. EXPERIENCED- Raced greenly in the early stages. Race 2 –DLV FINANCE CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000M CENTENARIO – Declareda late scratching at 3.18pm when rider S. Sheargold became indisposed and no other rider was available. Prior to the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on CENTENARIO were to be refunded and that all winning bets placed prior to 3.18pm were to be paid less thirteen (13) cents in the dollar for the win and less sixteen (16) cents in the dollar for the place on the face value of the tickets. MOST WOMEN ARE – Slow into stride and raced wide rounding the 600m turn and from that point commenced to lose ground, finishing tailed off. Stewards interviewed the rider who advised the mare was having its first run from a long spell tired from the 600m. A veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. HEREBANEEK – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 3 - ANNAVALE BRAHMANS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1200MZUMARI – As rider S. Sheargold was indisposed he was replaced by N. Nelson. Raced wide rounding the 600m turn. SHARP DIAMOND – Tightened between runners on jumping. MOLONGLE HEREO – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 4 - BURDEKIN BRAHMANS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1400M DONAVIA – Declared a late scratching at 3.40pm prior to betting commencing as the result of rider S. Sheargold becoming indisposed and no other rider being available. ALBA GU BATH – Eased near the 900m as the result of being momentarily tightened by DEACON BLACK (P. Cullen) which shifted inwards marginally causing ALBA GU BRATH to over react. Stewards took no action regarding the incident after interviewing rider Gray. Raced wide rounding the home turn. ZEDAHEEL – Raced very wide rounding the home turn. Race 5 - SOMERVIEW BRAHMANS OPEN HANDICAP – 1000M BORN TO FIRE – As rider S. Sheargold was indisposed he was replaced by S. Watkin. ISLAND BAR – Jumped awkwardly losing considerable ground and raced wide rounding the 600m turn. MOLONGLE DREAM – Raced wide for the majority of the race. FLAVIAN – Raced wide rounding the home turn. S TEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY Summary of action concerning licensees:Race 2. Rider S. Sheargold. Became indisposed prior to race two. To provide a medical certificate of fitness prior to riding again. Summary of action concerning thoroughbred horses. Horses swabbed: All winners. Bans: Race 1. GROUP SESSION must successfully complete a barrier jump out prior to next start. Late Scratchings: Race 1. COOL KITTY – Late scratching at 9.30am as no rider was available. GROUP SESSION was scratched at the barriers when it was unable to be loaded. Race 2. TALLYMAN – Late scratching at 9.45am as no rider was available. CENTENARIO was a late scratching at 3.18pm when rider became indisposed and no other rider was available. Race 4. DONAVIA – Late scratching at 3.40pm when rider became indisposed and no other rider was available. Summary of rider changes/Late notifications: Race 3. N. Nelson replaced S.
