GENERAL

Stewards accepted trainer B. Waldron’s explanation for the late declaration of R. Kerwin on his runners at today’s meeting.

Race 1: CHARLEVILLE CONCRETE AND CHARLEVILLE TYRE SERVICE BENCHMARK 75 HANDICAP 1100M.

SECRETS REVEALED (W. Doyle) was tightened for room shortly after the start when OLYMPIA’S FLAME (Appr. L.Tilley) shifted in slightly.

LONE ASSASSIN (Appr. Ms G. Steele) drifted out marginally from the 200M point and then drifted out further over the concluding stages of the event.

Race 2: BROLGA CONTRACTING MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200M.

QUECHUA (J. Baker) and C’MON YVONNE were slow to begin.

SEQUALO ROSE (D. Brown) hung out for the majority of the event.

Approaching the 700M point MURPHYS SUNRISE (W. Doyle) jockey had to take hold when tightened for room between SEQUALO SUNRISE which hung out and JUST AS SWEET (Appr. M. McGillivray) which shifted in marginally.

Race 3: FRANK CAVANOUGH MEMORIAL CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200M

This event was slightly delayed due to CRAWS (W. Doyle) proving difficult to load.

MANFRED THE MAN ( Appr. H. Kim) broke through the barriers shortly before the start. The rider was able to pull the horse up quickly. It was later examined by the Veterinarian and passed fit to start.

CRAWS jumped out at the start. Its rider advised Stewards that CRAWS resented the kick back from the other runners from the 1000M point.

CALL A TRUCE (J. Baker) shifted in marginally at the 1100M point. J. Baker reported to Stewards the horse appeared to resent the kick back from the other runners and that the horse never appeared comfortable during the majority of the race.

Stewards placed a warning on CRAWS due to its display of poor barrier manners and its’ difficulty to load.

Race 4: WAGNER DOYLE GORDON AND CHARLEVILLE PHARMACY QTIS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400M.

DE BURGHLER (MS R. Kerwin) was slow to begin.

POKINALONG (Appr. H. Kim) was tightened for room at the start between ETCHED IN GLASS (App. H. Park) and SNIP ESPRIT when both runners shifted ground..
