Race 1 CHARLEVILLE TYRE SERVICE MAIDEN PLATE– 1000M:

WHERE’S ROGER was declared a late scratching at 1.55 after refusing to load. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on WHERE’S ROGER were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable:

26 cents in the dollar for the win #1
24 cents in the dollar for the place of winner #1
22 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #3
There were no third dividends.

Trainer G. Bignell was advised that WHERE’S ROGER would have a warning placed on the gelding.

MAIDONRICHES (W. Doyle) jumped out and made contact with TITLED LADY (N. Ogura).

MAIDONRICHES hung out in the early stages.


Race 2 TOWER HARDWARE BENCHMARK 75 HANDICAP – 1100M:

TEAM THUNDERSTONE (W. Doyle) was slow to begin.

Stewards questioned Jockey R. Kerwin in regards to the poor performance of WINDEL TORI. Jockey Kerwin reported that her mount hung out during the early and middle stages of the event. She further added that she was unable to test her mount out fully over the concluding stages and in her opinion was disappointing. A subsequent veterinary inspection of the mare found that there were no significant abnormalities. Trainer B. Waldron advised stewards that he would be considering the mare’s future racing career.

Race 3 TOP X CLASS B HANDICAP – 1100M:

TISPURA TONIGHT (L. Tilley) and NATURAL MIST (N. Ogura) made contact on jumping.

MANFRED THE MAN (R. Kerwin) shifted in and made heavy contact with SYDNEY PEARL (I. French).

KIMBERLY DOWNS (D. Brown) jumped in and made contact with BOTANICAL BELLE (W. Doyle).

NATURAL MIST (N. Ogura) laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.

MANFRED THE MAN and SYRUS (G. Steele) raced wide throughout.

Race 4 PRICE RITE TYRES BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 800M:

MAXIMUM VISION (D. Brown) was crowded for room between C’MON YVONNE (D. Baker) and EDWARDSCISSORHANDS (C. Rodgers), which jumped out.

Shortly after the start EDWARDSCISSORHANDS was tightened for room between CRASH BAM BOOM (R. Kerwin) and MAXIMUM VISION, which shifted in marginally. As a result EDWARDSCISSORHANDS lost ground.

Race 5 SOUTH WEST FORD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1000M:

R. Sullivan the trainer of SECRETS REVEALED was reprimanded for being late to the enclosure.

CRAWFISH (I. French) was tightened for room when PARRAGUNDY (W. Doyle) and TERMS (D. Baker) both shifted ground. As a result CRAWFISH was forced to steady and then raced wide for the remainder of the event.

TERMS and CHERMAGIC (D. Brown) raced wide throughout.
