GENERAL
Trainer C.Prow was reprimanded for failing to declare J. Rudd as the rider of Four Joy in Race 2 and G. Steele as the rider for Pippa’s Call in Race 3, by the required time.

Race 1: KOKODA MAIDEN PLATE 800M
Stewards permitted ARGONAUT FLYER to race in blinkers today, despite this not being part of the horse's approved gear. Trainer C. Prow subsequently fined $100.
The start was delayed when OUR BOYS BANNISTER was fractious in the parade ring and dislodged its rider J. Rudd. Trainer M. Goodwin was advised that a warning would be placed on OUR BOYS BANNISTER for it's
pre-race manners. Jockey J. Rudd was not injured in this incident.
JOBILCO – Stood flat footed and lost ground.
ANSOUIS – Couldn’t muster early speed, rider reported the mare resented the kick back from the dirt track.
AIN’T GOING DOWN – Raced wide throughout.
HAYIL MATADOR – Tightened for room at the 600m.
GRACE AND WILF – Held up rounding the home turn.
Race 2: GALLIPOLI OPEN HCP – 1000m
SECRETS REVEALED – Tightened for room on jumping away and lost ground.
MANFRED THE MAN – Inclined to lay in under pressure over the final 150m.
Apprentice D. Evans, rider of 4th place OLYMPIA’S FLAME, was reprimanded for failing to weigh in on that runner when required to do so.
Race 3: NUI DAT BENCHMARK 55 HCP - 1000M
Stewards permitted jockey J. Baker to ride 1kg over his allotted weight as the rider of MASTER FARALON when no other suitable riders were available. Jockey J. Baker was subsequently fined $200.
The start was delayed when MASTER FARALON dislodged its rider J. Baker during the preliminary. MASTER FARALON was examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start. Trainer C. Wall was advised that a warning would be placed on MASTER FARALON for it's pre race manners.
Correct weight was delayed to allow apprentice G. Steele, the rider of the 5th placegetter PIPPA’S CALL to view the photo finish print. Apprentice G. Steele was subsequently satisfied with the judges placing and correct weight was declared.
On return to scale, jockey J. Baker the rider of MASTER FARALON, became physically ill and had to be attended to by Ambulance officers. As J. Baker was unable to weigh in, Stewards under the provisions of AR142 were satisfied that MASTER FARALON had carried its correct weight and therefore gave correct weight on the Judges semaphored numbers. J. Baker was subsequently transported to hospital and must provide a medical certificate prior to riding next.

BORN TO THE MANOR – Slow to begin.
QUANTUM SHADOW – Raced wide throughout.
ZAMBEZI SUN – Forced wider near the 800m.
Race 4: CHARLEVILLE RSL MEMORIAL CLUB CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200M
The start was delayed when jockey J. Baker was transported to hospital for precautionary reasons and the wait for the arrival of another ambulance.
COME BY OFTEN – Slow to begin.
AFFECTIONATE ONE – Tightened for room on jumping away and lost ground.
TRANSPIRE - Had to steady to avoid heels at the 1100m.
PRESIDENTIAL – Raced wide throughout.
BEAU ALLEGRO – Laid in under pressure over the final 50m.
Race 5: VIETNAM VETERANS & LONG TAN BENCHMARK 70 HCP – 1400M
Stewards permitted apprentice J. King to ride 1.5kg over his allotted weight as the rider of TAYSTAR when no other suitable riders were available. Apprentice J. King was subsequently fined $400. When arriving at penalty stewards took into consideration apprentice J. King poor record in relation to this rule.
BONNAY FLYER – Slow to begin.
Near the 800m SPINADA raced in restricted room to the inside of ADRIATIC OCEAN which was taken in slightly by TAYSTAR. Apprentice J. King the rider of TAYSTAR was issued with a reprimand.
HELLUVA HURRY – Race wide throughout.
Jockey J. Rudd the rider of RED CENTURION reported at scale that the horse didn’t handle the track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
