GENERAL:
 
Due to transport difficulties Jockey S. Alam was unable to attend todayys meeting, subsequently replaced by Apprentice J. Brand.
 
Due to no insufficient riders at the meeting the following horses weree scratched at 09:00 FLINDERS PEAK, NOOR DROPPER and WALLBANGER.
 
RACE 1: VIETNAM VETERANS AND LONG TAN CLASS B HANDICAP 1400M
 
ZOOMING OVER YOU Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority. Apprentice N. Morton reported at scale that the gelding hung out throughout.
 
RACE 2: LES BAKER MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400M
 
YOU CANNT BE Raced wide in the early stages. Apprentice D. Graham was fined $200 for use of whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
 
RACE 3: GALLIPOLI RATINGS BAND 0 - 50 HANDICAP 1100M
 
Stewards accepted Trainer T. Mead explanation for the late declaration of apprentice J. Brand.
 
TRAIL BUSTER Bumped at the start.
 
AMBERRS GIRL Bumped at the start.
 
ROSA MARGUERITA Raced wide for the majority. Trainer B. Waldron was fined $100 for failing to produce thoroughbred identification for the mare.
 
FERRIGNO When racing in restricted room near the 800m shifted out and raced wide from that point onwards.
 
HIGHWAY CHILDD - Apprentice N. Morton reported at scale did not travel comfortably for a majority of the event. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
 
RACE 4: KOKODA CLASS B HANDICAP 800M
 
FAVOURITE SISTER Slow to begin. Apprentice D. Graham was reprimanded for returning to scale overweight. Stewards took into account apprentice Graham good record in relation to this rule.
 
ROBODAN Slow to begin. Hung out throughout proving difficult to ride and took no competitive part in the race. Trainer T. Mead was advised that the gelding would require a barrier certificate prior to next start.
 
REBEL ICON Raced widee for the majority..
 
TAVY NIGHTS Apprentice N. Morton accidently dropped her whip near the 150m.
 
RACE 5: JIM PUGSLEY MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1000M
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow stewards and riders J. Rudd (ISSY COMMAND) and N. Morton (SHEES INVINCIBLE) to view the official print for first place . After viewing the photo stewards and riders were satisfied that there was a margin between first (ISSY COMMAND) and second (SHEES INVINCIBLE) and correct weight was declared.
 
DOS SANTOS Slow to begin and lost significant ground. Jockey C. Bryen reported at scale that after beginning slow the gelding failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. Connections could offer no explanation in regards to the geldings performance and undertook to report to stewards anything that may become apparent in coming days. Trainer B. Green will be advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings performance.
 
Jockey S. Egan was fined $100 for use of whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
