Due to insufficient riders at the meeting the following horses weree scratched at 12:50; ECHOING, FABULOUS RED, MOUNTAIN RETREAT, THATTS THE PLAN and HIGHWAY CHILD.
 
RACE 1: SOUTH WEST FORD & NISSAN CLASS B HANDICAP 1400M
 
LOTHBROK Blundered at the start.
 
AGUERO Began awkwardly. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
THE SMUGGLER Tightened for room at the start.
 
RED GERANIUM Raced wide for the majority of the event . Apprentice J. Brand was fined $200 for returning to scale in excess of 1kg overweight.
 
ZOOMING On return to scale, rider L. Tilley reported that after the gelding began well, he was unable to take up a forward position and would be caught 4 wide, so he elected to settle back in the field to obtain cover. He also added that in his opinion the gelding failed to carry 61.5kg in todayys event.
 
TRAIL BUSTER Raced wide for the majority of the event. Laid in over the concluding stages.

MISS DELIMA Apprentice J. Brand accidently dropped her whip near the 150m.
