Race 1: PRESIDENTS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m
RAISE THE FIGHT – Raced in restricted room for a short distance leaving the 800m.
GEISSLER – Tightened upon jumping and lost ground.
SO STUNNING – Laid in at the 800m tightening another runner to the outside.
 
Race 2: MURWEH SHIRE COUNCIL OPEN PLATE – 1200m
SHADOW PRINCE – Stood flat footed and lost ground. Trainer M. Johnstone was advised a warning would be paced on the gelding.
MY COUSIN BOSSY – Began awkwardly.
CLASSIC WIND -  Slow to begin.
 
Race 3: WESTERN RURAL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1600m
NAMIB – Apprentice J. Morrow was fined $300 under AR.135(14)(a) for failing to claim his full allowance.
YEEZY – Began awkwardly.
MOTUEKA RIVER – Slow to begin.
 
Race 4: M. L. CARRIERS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP – 1200m
EXCEED ALL ODDS – Hung out rounding the home turn.
PYRAMID PRINCE – Slow to begin. Over raced in the early stages. Apprentice A. Bakos lost her whip approaching the 100m.
AURIC GOLD – Slow into stride.
ANOTHER WEAPON – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 5: BOOKMAKERS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 800m
TOCCO D’ORO – Slow to begin.
FAME AND FORTUNE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Hung out rounding the home turn.
COROGLEN – Upon returning to scale, Jockey N. Morton reported that her mount was inclined to lay in throughout.
