QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CHARLEVILLE RACE CLUB – SATURDAY 4TH JULY 2020 WEATHER – FINETRACK RATING – SAND (GOOD 4)RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – R. HitchenerStewards –B. McErleanClerk of Scales – B. McErleanJudge – B. LinesVeterinarian – T. EckelStarter – R. King GENERAL Apprentice K. Patch was unable to attend todays meeting due to illness. Rider replacements were made as per the stewards summary. Apprentice K. Patch was advised she would require a medical certificate prior to next riding. Race1: MURWEH SHIRE COUNCIL MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m PUNJABI SAVITAR- Jumped awkwardly. SASSY SARAH- Bumped heavily on jumping. GALSHADOW- Bumped and lost ground on jumping. KELSEY LAKE- Knuckled on jumping. SHERPA JACK- Laid in during the early stages. Steadied shortly after the start and lost ground when BUWAN (App. D. Graham) shifted in when not clear. Apprentice Graham was reprimanded. Race 2: SOUTH WEST FORD OPEN PLATE – 1000m Stewards inquired into the circumstances surrounding Trainer M Kropp saddling and presenting the incorrect horse to the enclosure. Mr Kropp advised that he had made an error in that he had incorrectly formed the view that FOXLEIGH was his nominated runner for this event rather than SPLITZ and therefore presented FOXLEIGH, which was engaged in a later race at today’s meeting, rather than SPLITZ. Having considered the evidence Mr Kropp pleaded guilty to a charge under AR99(b) in that he saddled and incorrectly presented the wrong horse for this event. Mr Kropp was fined $400. In arriving at penalty stewards were mindful of Mr Kropp’s prior exemplary record in relation to this rule. SEVEN YEAR REWARD- Slow to begin. GENDEBEIN- Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Race 3: POWERIT CLASS B HANDICAP - 1100m WHISKEY APPLE- As Apprentice K. Patch was not riding at the meeting and there was no other rider available was declared a late scratching at 12:50pm LENROY- Raced wide without cover throughout. LADY BLACKWOOD- Rider reported the filly failed to handle the sand racing surface. Race 4: JONES SMASH REPAIRS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1200m MISHANI WRANGLER- Bled both nostrils. As this was the second occasion on which the gelding had bled, it would now incur a life ban from racing. ANCIENT ECHOES- Over raced during the early and middle stages. ACCOUNTANT- Knuckled on jumping losing ground and then failed to muster speed. TOCCO D’ORO- Raced wide without cover throughout. Race 5: HOME SERVICE CENTRE QTIS RATINGS BAND 0-60 1400m SPLASHETTE - As Apprentice K. Patch was not riding at the meeting and there was no other rider available was declared a late scratching at 12:50pm. SONA DANCER- Tightened for room and checked near the 800m when NOTHING TO DANCE shifted in, whilst hanging in, despite the efforts of its rider. NIC AND RUN- Raced wide without cover throughout.
