QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CHARLEVILLE – SATURDAY 3rd OCTOBER 2020 WEATHER – FINETRACK RATING – SAND RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – B CookeStewards – P Jenkins Clerk of Scales – P Jenkins Judge – B. Lines Veterinarian – T. Birrer Starter – R. King GENERAL Jockey M. Haley was refused entry to the course after he was unable to get his body temperature inside the acceptable parameters outlined by the Racing Queensland COVID policy when temperature tested upon arrival at the track. Jockey Haley was subsequently stood down from all engagements with rider replacements and scratching’s as per stewards summary. Trainer James Baker was fined $500 under AR.228(b) for directing obscene and offensive language towards a Stipendiary Steward. Mr Baker was advised of his right to an internal review. Race1: PRESIDENTS QTIS Maiden Plate – 800m SUPER SID – Slow to begin. GLAMOURON – Began awkwardly. DIFFICULT - Began awkwardly. Race 2: BOOKMAKERS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap- 1200m THIRD ROCK – Fractious in barrier. ELAVADA – Began awkwardly making contact with the inside barrier partition. CHOICE SON – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside. SONA DANCER – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Pulled up shortly after the finish by its rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have sustained an injury to the off-fore tendon. Trainer R. Frazer was advised the mare will require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing. Race 3: WESTERN RURAL BENCHMARK 60 Handicap- 1600m LUBYOUFOREVER – Apprentice D. McGillivray dropped his whip at the 200m. YOU’RE NOT WANTED – Blundered at the start and lost ground. Race 4: MURWEH SHIRE COUNCIL Handicap- 1100m ALL EEZ – Began awkwardly. ZILITOR – Raced wide without cover throughout. Race 5: M.L CARRIERS Class B Handicap- 1000m NAZARIO – Fractious in barriers. Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the outside. Tailed off in the early stages taking no competitive part in the event. A post- race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer D. Dolgner was advised a warning would be placed in the horse. BETTER BE GREAT – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. WHISKEY APPLE – Began awkwardly. BETTY IS READY – Began awkwardly.
