QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CENTRAL WARREGO RACE CLUB – 24th October 2020. WEATHER – OVERCAST TRACK RATING – GOOD (DIRT) RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – B. Cooke Stewards – D. Kerwick Clerk of Scales – Q.R.I.C Stewards Judge – ClubVeterinarian – Dr T. Eckel Swab Attendants – Dr T. EckelStarter – E. Brassington GENERAL Due to storm activity in the local area, following consultation with the club, stewards made the decision to bring forward the start times of all events. The amended times were as follow: R1 – 1:20pm R2 – 1:45pm R3 – 2:15pmR4 – 2:55pm R5 – 3:25pm Race 1:TONY FACEY MEMORIAL CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1200m ORDELL - Slow to begin. WHISKEY APPLE – raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 800m. GRANOLA – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. JESSINA – Raced wide without cover throughout. AURIC GOLD – Slow to begin. Race 2: Jim Pugsley Memorial Benchmark 55 Handicap – 1600m LUBYOUFOREVER – Fractious in barriers HARBOUR TRICK – Rears in barriers, Began awkwardly MY COUSIN BOSSY – Laid in under pressure on the home straight SHADOW VISION – Laid in under pressure on the home straight. SIZZLING SUZZANNE – Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover throughout the middle stages. Race 3:ROSS IVERSON MEMORIAL OPEN PLATE – 1400m ADDOCAR – Slow to begin. Raced three wide without cover in the early stages. ACHILLES PRIDE – Began awkwardly. THIRD ROCK – Slow to begin. COROGLEN – Apprentice A. Bakos was reprimanded under AR.132(7)(a)(ii) for her use of the whip 7 times prior to the 100m. TROMMELSCHLAGEN – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Race 4:LES BAKER MEMORIAL CLASS 6 PLATE – 1000m LEROY ROCKS – Bumped by another runner on jumping. IL BANDITO – Began awkwardly. SEDUCTION – Began awkwardly. Tailed off from the 400m taking no competitive part in the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer D. Rewald was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding. CHOICE SON – Began awkwardly making contact with the outside barrier partition. Upon returning to scale Jockey M. Schrapel advised that in his opinion the gelding displayed an abnormal respiratory noise throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Race 5:NEVILLE GREEN MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m GET IN THE GOOVE – Began awkwardly tightening another runner to the inside. ELITE GREY – Began awkwardly. Tightened for room between runners shortly after the start. BUDDY OLLIE – Began awkwardly tightening another runner to the inside. LADY ELLIE – Slow to begin. TORI TORONADO – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside. GLAMOURON – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Tailed off in the home straight taking no competitive part in the remainder of the event. When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance Jockey J. Rudd advised that in his opinion the mare failed to handle the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. PRETORIUS – Hung out rounding the home turn.
