QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CENTRAL WARREGO RACE CLUB CHARLEVILLE– TUESDAY 03 NOVEMBER 2020 WEATHER – Fine TRACK RATING – Good 4 (Sand) RAIL – True entire OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – R HitchenerStewards – D KerwickClerk of Scales – D KerwickJudge – B Lines Veterinarian – Dr. T EckelStarter – R King General BETTER LOOKING (Race 1) and LEROY ROCKS (Race 3) were both scratching’s due to no rider riders being available. Race 1: BRETT MOODY RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1600 metres ELAVADA- Fractious in the barriers and then began awkwardly. Race 2: MURWEH SHIRE QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1100 metres CALL ME THEROUX- As the gelding had not raced since May 2019, it underwent a pre-race Veterinary Examination and was passed fit to start. STONELEIGH JACKSON- As there were no other riders available, Stewards permitted P Hamblin to ride the gelding 1/2kg overweight. OUR EPPY- Was declared a late scratching at 2:15pm after the mare refused to enter the parade ring. Upon the declaration of Correct Weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on the mare be refunded with deductions to apply as per below. Stewards advised Trainer W Baker that the mare would be required to pre parade through a race day enclosure to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing. HE IS LUCKY- Was declared a late scratching at 2:25pm after the gelding broke through the barriers and galloped a circuit of the track riderless. Upon the declaration of Correct Weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on the gelding be refunded with deductions to apply as per below. A Warning was issued against the gelding. Deductions to apply as follows- For successful wagers placed prior to 2:15pm- 1st- 4 cents the win and 14 cents the place2nd- 14 cents the place3rd- 17 cents the place For successful wagers placed after 2:15pm- 1st- 0 cents the win 5 cents the place2nd- 7 cents the place3rd- 8cents the place COYNES ROAD- Knuckled at the start. WEATHER MAN- Began awkwardly. Jockey M Schrapel was reprimanded for using his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. SPRING NYMPH- Bumped on jumping away. THE BEAT- Bumped on jumping and raced wide throughout. GREAT BRAVE- App. A Ross was fined $600 for using her whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. Race 3: FRANK CAVANOUGH MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200 metres LUNCH WITH COOPS- Began awkwardly. YOU KNOW THE ONE- Began awkwardly and raced wide throughout. App. A Jones reported that the gelding travelled only fairly during the event and failed to quicken when placed under pressure from the 600m. She went on to say that the significant weight the gelding was forced to carry today may have also been a contributing factor to the disappointing performance. AUTHADANE- Tightened for room at the start. ALL TOO SWEET- Trainer R Frazer reported that the Tongue Tie was displaced during the event which he felt was the major contributing factor to the poor performance. Race 4: COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1000 metres BILLY THE KID- Tightened for room at the start. Jockey M Schrapel reported he was struck in the face with a clod in the home straight. DRAYMAN- Began awkwardly. FOXY BELLA- Began awkwardly. IL BANDITO- Raced very wide throughout. Rider reported her saddled shifted backwards on jumping away. MUIRON- Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Race 5: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFER/CHARLEVILLE CUP OPEN QUALITY HANDICAP1600 metres SPLITZ- Slightly slow begin. SNIPFIT- Dipped shortly after the start. KING MAX- A post-race Veterinary Examination of the gelding which weakened over the concluding stages failed to reveal any abnormalities.
