Both advised their instructions were to obtain a forward position to avoid any kickback. Ms. O’Donnell advised her horse was very one paced and once it got to the lead it would flatten out, but it kept going and travelled well.  Ms Bako advised that this was her horse’s first start on the sand didn’t think she would gain a leading position so easy and her mount was travelling very well.
