Randall pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he did use his whip on 10 occasions prior to the 100m, 5 times more than permitted, and 16 times in totality. Jockey P Randalls license to ride in race was subsequently suspended for a period of 10-day Suspension from midnight- 30th September to midnight-9th October 2024. RACE 4 PHIPPS FAMILY TRUST BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP-DAPHNE DONNER PATRONS 1400mTEQUILA NIGHTS- Jockey P. Randall pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he did use his whip 8 times prior to the 100m, 3 times more than permitted, and 16 times in totality. Jockey Randalls license to ride in races was subsequently suspended for a period of 8-days to be served wholly concurrently with the suspension incurred in Race 3. Stewards took into consideration that Jockey Randall had not been advised of his breach in Race 3 prior to taking his engagement in Race 4.GeneralApp M. Goring was unable to fulfil his riding engagements due to personal reasons, Stewards permitted rider changes as per Stewards race-day summary.Stewards permitted claiming Apprentice N. Approaching the 100m, hung in bumping TRAPEZE FLYER and in return, placing TIGER BEANS in restricted room. Jockey M. Gray was reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding. Trainer R. Connolly was advised that a waring has been placed on the gelding for its racing manners.MAKERS: Began awkwardly and blundered.THE UPRISING: Raced wide without cover for the majority.TRAPEZE FLYER: Approaching the 200m, placed in restricted racing room. Approaching the 100m shifted in to obtain a rail position when not fully clear of TIGER BEANS. Jockey B. Newport was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(a) for careless riding.TIGER BEANS Bella: Approaching the 200m raced in restricted room. Raced in restricted room again approaching the 100m.Race 2: WARREGO FOOD SUPPLIES OPEN HANDICAP 1000m MENINDEE: Began awkwardly, blundered, losing considerable ground early. SOOPAT: Began awkwardly. Approaching the 600m put in a few awkward strides in and lost a considerable amount of ground. App B. Youngberry reported that approaching the 600m, her mount hit a soft spot on the track, losing momentum. HIDDEN EYES: Began awkwardly and blundered. Raced wide without cover.KEENZAP: Approaching the 100m shifted out.UNRESTRICTED: Began awkwardly.ZA HIDDEN DRAGON: Began awkwardly.TURNSTAR: Began awkwardly.Race 3: R&P CLOTHING & EMBROIDERY BM45 HANDICAP 1000mThe start was delayed due to the jockey’s raising concerns about the footing at the start in the 1000m chute. Jockeys reported that horses were having difficulties obtaining secure footing when jumping. Bearing in mind the safety of all riders and horses, and after viewing footage of start of Races 1 and 2, and further, with agreement of Trainers with runners in the race, the starting position for this race was altered from the 1000m chute to a distance to commence at the 1050m on the course proper.TOUGH JUDGE: Began awkwardly. Shortly after started bumped onto DEEP MYSTIQUE.BEST SIDE: Leaving the 1000m, bumped for a few strides. Raced wide without cover for the majority.BUGDEN: Bumped shortly after start and consequently lost ground.DEEP MYSTIQUE: Jockey C Rogers pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 11 occasions prior to the 100m, 6 more than permitted. Jockey C. Rogers licence to ride in races was suspended for 9 days, commencing midnight 8th October and expiring midnight 16th October 2024.
