General
 
Due to the hot weather conditions, the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission’s Caring for Racing Animals in Extreme Heat Policy, was effected for the day.
 
Race 2-I’M FREE was declared late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 10am when no rider was available. Stewards accepted the explanation given by Trainer Mr D. Rewald.
Race 2-EDWARDS was declared late withdrawal by Stewards at 10:25am due to veterinary reasons. Trainer Mr W. Pugsley was advised a veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.
 
 
Race 1: NUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS CHARLEVILLE BM55 HANDICAP 1050m
 
STAY SAFE: Began awkwardly bumping TATTLE.A post-race veterinary examination found the gelding to be lame near foreleg. Trainer Mr J. Patterson was advised a veterinary clearance inclusive of X-Rays, will be required before the gelding can compete in trials or racing again.
 
TURNSTAR: Slow away. Raced wide without cover. Leaving the 100m, shifted in under pressure.
 
TATTLE: Began awkwardly. Bumped between runners shortly after start.
 
SEPARATIST: Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.
 
 BALEXIA: Began awkwardly, bumping TATTLE.
 
MISTER SWEET: Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Began awkwardly, then put in several awkward strides shortly after the start and lost considerable ground. Approaching the 600m, raced wide without cover.
 
 
Race 2:HEINEMANN’S COUNTRY BAKERY CHARLEVILLE QTIS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200m
 
DEEP MYSTIQUE: Slow to begin.
 
TAKERU: Slow to begin.
 
ALLDABURGERS: Began awkwardly bumping CLUB ROLLER. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
JAMAICAN: A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
DREYFUS: Began awkwardly
 
WHITE CHOCOLATE: Began awkwardly, bumping CLUB ROLLER. Leaving the 100m, shifted in under pressure.
 
CLUB ROLLER: Bumped between runners for a few strides shortly after the start.
 
GOLDIE'S POWER: Raced wide in the home straight.
 
 
Race 3:CATTLE CAMP HOTEL CHARLEVILLE COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1200m
 
KEENZAP: Began awkwardly bumping UNRESTRICTED.
 
HIDDEN EYES: Began awkwardly bumping UNRESTRICTED.
 
UNRESTRICTED: Shortley after the start was bumped between runners, became badly unbalanced and raced erratically for a few strides. Hung in approaching the 1000m, obliging Jockey J. Rudd to steady. Jockey J. Rudd reported his mount wanted to lay in and was difficult to ride for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer Mr W. Baker was notified the gelding must trial to the Stewards satisfaction prior to racing again.
 
MON PIERRE: Hung out around the home turn. Shifted out under pressure approaching the 200m.
 
WITHOUT SHAME: Raced wide in the home straight.
 
 
Race 4:WESTERN RURAL SERVICES CHARLEVILLE 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1400m
 
TOUGH JUDGE: Shifted out under pressure leaving the 100m.
 
BUGDEN: Stewards intend to inquire into Jockey S McGovern’s whip use prior to the 100m.
 
BAUHINIA BEANS: Raced wide around home turn.
 
MR DEMOLITION: Began awkwardly.
 
FORGED IN STONE: Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
TIGER BEANS: Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 5: MOODY RACING COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/CHARLEVILLE CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400m
 
 
GREEK STAR: Raced keen early.
 
WARRAH FLASH: Stewards intend to inquire into an incident which occurred shortly after the start.
 
NICK THE SKIP: Slow away. Approaching the 800m raced wide without cover.
