RACE 1 THE LANDMARK – RAN NORTH SEA RATING 0-45 HCP 1030m

BARNTOWN was very restless in the barriers.
CHARZOOKA reared as the stalls opened and lost ground.
RED WARNING was slow to go and was held up for clear running in the straight.
ASTRO NASCENTE was leaning on the side of the barriers and slow on jumping away. ASTRO NASCENTE was very wide on the home turn .
PUNK STAR checked off heels at the 700m when it shifted out and then very wide on the home turn.






RACE 2 THE RSL SUB BRANCH – BATTLE OF POZIERES MAIDEN PLATE 1200M

Appr T Germaine replaced Appr E Cass on DEAR MARY when Appr Cass advised that she was ill. Appr Cass to provide a Medical Clearance prior to riding again.
ONEMORE TWIST jumped awkwardly.
HERE COMES HOLLY was slow to jump.

DUPRE raced wide through out without cover.
A protest was entered by the connections of the second placed CASH’S REJECT ( L McCoy ) against the winner HAMMERACK (N. Evans) on the grounds of interference over the last100m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol video Stewards dismissed the protest. Stewards believed that there were grounds for the protest as HAMMERACK did lay in however they were not of the opinion that the inconvenience suffered by the runner up was sufficient for them to overturn the original decision and the protest was dismissed.
HAMMERJACK laid inwards down the running and the gelding racing manners brought to the attention of trainer T Dougall.
Jockey N Evans advised to make every effort to straighten his mounts.







RACE 3 THE KURTZ ELECTRICAL – BATTLE OF FROMELLES BENDMARK 55HCP 1200M

PROJECT COMPASSION and BELEM GREY came together on jumping away.
GRAFF PINK raced widely without cover for most of the race .
ROCKLEA RAIDER disappointed for a run in the straight.



RACE 4 THE RSL SUB BRANCH - THE WESTERN FRONT OPEN HCP 1200M

Appr G Willoughby fined $100 for failing to weigh in on third placegetter PLATTERS.
PLATTERS moved out down the running causing I’M THE ONE to be placed in restricted room between PLATTERS and MORE OF THE ZAIM which shifted in slightly.
DANGEROUS DANIKA moved inwards over the concluding stages.




RACE 5 THE CLUB HOTEL – BATTLE OF ROMAN CLASS B HCP 1400M

There was a considerable delay before the running of the race as the starting stalls suffered a mechanical breakdown when one of the wheels collapsed. The stalls were moved to the 1400 meter start however stewards were concerned that the barriers be supported underneath to ensure that they were level and stable. Stewards were satisfied with the safety aspects of the repairs and agreed that the stalls were safe to use.
Appr T Germaine fined $100 for not claiming full allowance on AIRMASS.
At the 800m IL PADRONE brushed the running rail after being placed in restricted room by another runner.
GALWAY TOWN moved inwards at the 800m when another runner shifted in slightly and eased off heels at 500m.
AIRMASS moved in slightly leaving the 800m. AIRMASS lost ground at the 500m when it tired.
STRIKING WARRIOR held up approaching the home turn.
HEZA CHUMLEY wide without cover for the entire journey.
