QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CHINCHILLA RACE CLUB – SATURDAY 22 DECEMBER 2018 WEATHER – FINETRACK RATING – GOOD 3 RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – L. Henderson GENERAL Race 1: HARDCORE HIRE CLASS B H’CAP – 1030M SIXTY ONE TIGERS- Slow to begin and lost further ground when hampered shortly after the start. DAISY PEARL- Raced wide throughout. PROGIRL- Raced wide throughout without cover. LETITRIPPOTATOCHIP- Steadied from heels after shifting wider on the track rounding the home turn before shifting inwards in the home straight. Race 2: CRAIG BLACK PATRON’S CUP OPEN H’CAP – 1030M REWARD FOR FASHION- Slow to begin. BAGGER CHANCE- Began awkwardly and raced 3 wide throughout. BEAT STREET- Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced very wide rounding the home turn. TYCOON ZIP- Began awkwardly and raced wide without cover throughout. EXSTRATUM- Saddle shifted shortly after the start placing the rider at a disadvantage for the remainder of the event. GENDEBIEN- When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance App. N Fazackerley reported that the gelding was not suited by the fast early tempo and as a result settled further back in the field than anticipated. He added that in the home straight the gelding ran on well however had difficulty securing clear running over the concluding stages. Stewards noted the explanation. Race 3: VANDERFIELD BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1200M PATCHE GIFT- Jumped inwards at the start making contact with another runner. REAL SUPREMACY- Bumped at the start. Jockey E Ljung reported that the gelding failed show any early speed despite her urging and as a result race in a rearward position before running on solidly in the home straight. PICK OF THE PUBS- Shifted out on the home turn and was inclined to shift ground in the home straight. TIMETUS- When questioned regarding the disappointing performance App. S Tomlinson explained that in his opinion the geldings racing manners in over racing badly during the early and middle stages were the major contributing factor in it failing to run on over the concluding stages of the event. Stewards noted he explanation. EXCEED ALL ODDS- Raced wide without cover throughout. Race 4: WDC QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1400M ROCK ON HIGH- Declared a late scratching at 12:30pm due to transport difficulties. SMOKEY DIAMOND- Jumped outwards at the start contacting another runner. FOLLY OVER- Jumped inwards contacting another runner. NAVILLUS STRIKER- Trainer G Richardson was fined $100 for the late notification of gear change (Blinkers off). Buffeted between runners near the 1100m. CASUAL INTENT- Tightened for room near the 1100m. MUDDY PUDDLE DAY- Near the 1100m, whilst over racing with its head in the air, was placed in restricted room by a runner to its outside. LANZOFFANY- Steadied near the 1100m and lost ground. Race 5: CHINCHILLA CAR WASH BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP– 1400M CHASINGWAGTAILS- Failed to jump with the field and lost considerable ground. Trainer N Larkin was advised that he would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate for the mare prior to it next racing. HENRY’S ON COURSE- Shortly after the start commenced to buck. Trainer B Hudson was advised that the gelding would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to next racing. CORAL SEAS- Jumped well but then knuckled causing the rider to lose the use of her off side stirrup iron. App. Phillips then took CORAL SEAS wider on the track before regaining the use of the iron. THE INTERN- Tightened for room at the 600m. Race 6: PROCREW CHINCHILLA CUP OPEN H’CAP – 1400M GUD ONYA- Jumped outwards making contact with another runner. CRAFTY AQUILA- App. S Wilcock replaced L. McCoy as the mare’s rider. Jumped out that the start contacting another runner. PALACE TYCOON- Raced wide throughout. STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY Summary of action concerning licensees FinesRace 4- G.
