Race 1 - SSQ MAIDEN PLATE 1030m
Senko Sidra – Slow to begin.
Chermside Miss – Brushed by another runner to the outside at the 300m and lost ground.
Aklavik – Taken in by another runner to the outside at the 300m
Swagman – Raced wide throughout. Laid in under pressure upon straightening taking in another runner.  
The Trump Train – Raced five wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages.
 
Race 2 - K & R PLUMBING RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 HANDICAP 1030m
Glenbawns Dutchess – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
High Call – Brushed by another runner to the outside shortly after the start.
Applause A Star – Began awkwardly. Improved onto heels approaching the 900m and was forced to restrain for a short distance.
Sanjay – Began awkwardly.
Scrivano – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
She’s Got Magic – Began awkwardly.
 
 
 
 
Race 3 - NEIL MANSELL TRANSPORT CLASS B HANDICAP 1200m
Chamberlain – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the outside.  
Real Ordeal – Tightened between runners shortly after the start and lost ground.
Robynlucy – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the inside.
Lipstick Effect – Lost its off side winker shortly after the start.
He’s McCaw – At the request of the rider was examined by the veterinary surgeon upon arrival at the barriers as she was of the opinion the horse felt awkward in its action throughout the preliminary. Subsequently the gelding wasdeclared a late scratching by order of the stewards upon veterinary advice at 2:50pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in He’s McCaw be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
6 cents in the dollar for the win - #3/8
7 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #3/8
7 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #1
A post-race veterinary examination revealed the sore in the hind legs.
Trainer W. Kuskopf was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to race.
 
Race 4 - CHINCHILLA ROTARY CLUB VINCE & MARGE MCCAFFREY MEMORIAL OPEN HANDICAP 1400m
Hightower – Brushed by another runner shortly after the start. Raced greenly throughout the early and middle stages.
Husson’s Shout – Began awkwardly.
Gid Up Strop – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 5 - LANDMARK CHINCHILLA PLATE BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1400m
