GENERAL:
 
As Jockey P. Randall was injured riding replacements were made as per stewards race day summary.
 
Stewards on arrival recognised that the incorrect distance was advertised for race 1 as being 1000m, after consultation with the club president and Racing Queensland stewards established that the correct distance was in fact 1030m.
 
Race 1: COCKATOO CREEK BRAHMANS BM 45 H’CAP - 1030M
 
DENMAN QUALITY – Hung out rounding the home turn. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
EXCEED ALL ODDS – Forced wider by another runner rounding the home turn.
 
LETITRIPPOTATOCHIP – Raced 3 wide throughout. Forced wider by another runner rounding the home turn.
 
TIN’S POCKET – Laid out over the concluding stages and had to be steadied from heels.
 
SWIFT RESPONSE – Slow to begin. Shortly after the start was tightened for room.
 
WRITTEN GUARNATEE – Began awkwardly, shifting inwards. Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority.
 
Race 2: 'JB' I DID IT MY WAY MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE– 1030M
 
The start of this race was delayed when TEKKEN WARRIOR dislodged Apprentice T. Townsend in the preliminary, galloped a considerable distance. The gelding was subsequently declared a late scratching at 2:10pm. On the announcement of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all monies invested on TEKKEN WARRIOR be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers placed prior to 2:10pm:
 
3 cents in the dollar for the win #4
7 cents in the dollar for place of winner #4
21 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #13
 
Apprentice T. Townsend was uninjured in this incident.
 
DROGON – Jockey S. McGovern reported that the gelding hung out from the 600m.
 
RED HALFPENNY – Jockey H. Phillips reported that the gelding resented the dust kickback and raced ungenerously. Trainer representative was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding record.
 
MISS CAROLEE- Began awkwardly.
 
DEVINE MISS BOOM – Bumped at the start.
 
MISSGOODYTWPSHOES- Jockey S. Sweeney reported that the mare dipped and became awkward in its action near the 200m and as a result did not finish off as expected. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. 
 
Race 3: SCIENTIFIC PEST & VEGETATION MANAGEMENT BM 65 H’CAP– 1200M
 
BALIUS – Bumped at the start.
 
MAC’S GAL – Began awkwardly.
 
MOUNTAIN RETREAT – Knuckled on jumping.
 
VALPONS - Slow
 
Race 4: GREEN ACRES HYDROMULCHING RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 H’CAP– 1400M
 
AMERICAN SUMMER – Slow to begin.
 
GHETTO BOY –Laid out near the 1300m, tightening runners to its outside.
 
BEAUTY SECRETS – Tightened for room and lost considerable ground near the 1300m. From that point failed to muster in dust kick back until entering the home straight.
 
PICK OF THE PUBS – Tightened for room near the 1300m. Jockey L. McCoy advised that she had to race wide approaching and rounding the home turn.
 
PRETTY SONG –  Tightened for room near the 1300m. When questioned in relation to the seemingly improved performance Trainer S. Pomerenke explained that the mare was back up in distance and with the addition of a tongue tie for the first time she had expected an improved performance.
 
MAC’S BOY – Laid in near the 1300m, tightening runner to its inside. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
