Race 1:CHINCHILLA CAR WASH MAIDEN PLATE – 1030m  
 
SOMEBODY’S BABY – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside. Hung out from the 500m, shifting wider on the track and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer K. Kemp was advised the filly will require a trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to retuning to racing.
 
VERVE – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
RAPOSA – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the inside.
 
SGURR MOR – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 2:CRAIG BLACK PATRON BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 1030m

WAIT A MINUTE – Began awkwardly.
 
BOVALINO – Tightened for room and lost ground upon jumping.
 
USURP – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MICK THE HAT – Began awkwardly.
 
VICEMAN – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 3:CNH TRANSPORTABLE HOMES CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200m  
 
CURRUMBIN – When questioned regarding the seemingly below market expectation performance, Jockey J. Missen advised that after beginning well his mount failed to travel when placed under pressure and in his opinion proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
CALL ME THEROUX – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
COFFEE COMING – Bumped by another runner on jumping. Steadied when laced in restricted room for a short distance leaving the 800m.
 
KARTANUP – Steadied when placed in restricted room leaving the 800m.
 
BEAN BAG – Shifted in marginally leaving the 800m placing KARTANUP and COFFEE COMING in restricted room. Jockey L. Tilley was advised to exercise more care in future. When questioned by stewards, Jockey Tilley could offer no explanation for the seemingly below market expectation performance. Trainer P. Webster advised that he would revise the geldings work schedule in the days following the event and would notify steward if any abnormalities became apparently subsequent to todays meeting.
 
JAILBIRD JAY JAY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 4: CHINCHILLA ROTARY CLUB/DON & MOREEN MCINTYRE MEMORIAL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1400m
 
LUCKY SENATOR – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
MOUNT BENNY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SET BEAT – Fractious in barriers.
 
WEATHER MAN – Began awkwardly.
 
WILD – Apprentice E. McPherson was fined $300 under AR.211(2) for returning to scale more than 0.5kg’s overweight.
 
Race 5:THE TWOPEGS PTY LTD BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1400m  
 
Prior to the start of the event, HARRY’S ME BOY underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was subsequently found to be lame in the off hind leg. Stewards declared HARRY’S ME BOY a late scratching at 3:30pm on veterinary advice. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in HARRY’S ME BOY be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
7 cents in the dollar for the win - #9
16 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #9
19 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #7
13 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #2
 
Stewards advised trainer N. Larkin that the gelding would require a veterinary clearance prior to returning to racing.
 
 
AKLAVIK – Began awkwardly.
 
CRAIGLEA ARION – Blundered on jumping and lost ground.
 
DESTINATION ROCK – Began awkwardly.
 
RUBY RUSH – Began awkwardly.
 
JESSINA – Inclined to lay in throughout.
 
Race 6:PROCREW CHINCHILLA CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1400m  
 
RATHER SALUBRIOUS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SILENT FLYER – Apprentice A. Bakos was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for her use of the whip 6 times prior to the 100m.
 
No further racing incidents.
