General
As there was no available riders, GLORY ACCOUNT (Race 3) and GOING TO VEGAS (Race 4) were both scratched at 12:30pm.

All explanations were accepted for the late declaration of riders.

Race 1: Belyando Produce BenchMark 60 Handicap 1000m

EXCEPTIONAL RHYTHM – Jumped awkwardly inwards and crowded LOVESON.

LOVESON – Tightened on jumping by EXCEPTIONAL RHYTHM. Jockey D Simmons when questioned regarding the geldings performance stated that after suffering interference at the start his mount was reluctant to run despite his urgings and finished well back.

Race 2: The Grand Hotel/Clermont Butchery Maiden Plate 1200m

OUR DESERT ROSE – Lost ground at the start after jumping away awkwardly.

SOME FAIRY SONG – Raced wide without cover throughout.

GEORGIE’S DEAL – Raced wide without cover throughout.

PAPER TALK – Slow to begin.

Race 3: Clermont Bulk Haulage BenchMark 55 Handicap 1200m

BAKER’S DOZEN – Raced wide without cover throughout.

MILNE BAY – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Following this event Jockey M Milford took a considerable amount of time to return to the enclosure. Jockey Milford was subsequently examined by Ambulance Officers and stood down from his remaining engagements. Jockey Milford was advised that he would require a medical clearance prior to race riding again.

Race 4: Isaac Regional Council QTIS BenchMark 50 Handicap 1400m

CAPTAINS WAY – Declared a late scratching at 3:10pm as there was no rider available.

THE DECKERAIDER – Slow to begin.

WHITE ON WHITE – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Following the event, FLINDERS DEAGON was unable to be safely sampled by the veterinary surgeon and subsequently, no sample was taken.

Race 5: Tony Kenny Memorial Clermont Cup Open Handicap 1400m

EFFECTAV – As Jockey M Milford was stood down, Jockey K Aho was the replacement rider.

DON’T WE LOVE IT – Eased near the 800 metres when crowded by EFFECTAV.

EFFECTAV – Raced ungenerously in the early stages and rolled in when passing the 800 metres slightly crowding DON’T WE LOVE IT.
