Race 1: MADDEN INVESTMENTS Maiden Plate (1000 Metres) 
 
PERGAMON – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice J. McGrath reported that she dropped her whip passing the 300m.
 
BUCKLEYS – Slow to begin.
 
SCARLET DESIRE – Fractious prior to the start. Raced wide throughout.
 
STILLWATER – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 2: CLERMONT CONCRETE BENCHMARK 65 Handicap (1000 Metres)
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight trainer M. Cochrane exercised his right to view the photo finish. The stewards were satisfied with the semaphored numbers thus correct weight was called.
 
RAPIDS – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
STILL FEELING IT – A post-race veterinarian examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer G. Bell advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
 
FARMER’S FRIEND – Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout. Shifted wider entering the home straight.
 
MISHANI REBEL – Raced wide early.
 
TUPELAWARA – Raced wide early. Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
Race 3: CLERMONT BULK HAULAGE QTIS RATINGS BAND 0 – 55 Handicap (1400 Metres)
 
OUR IRISH EMPEROR – Jumped out at start. Hung out for the majority. Shifted in abruptly passing the 200m as a result SHES OUR EMPRESS shifted out to obtain clear running.
 
TRI NATIONS – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages. Improved wider on the track from the 600m. Hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHE’S OUR EMPRESS – Shifted out passing the 200m to obtain clear running when OUR IRISH EMPEROR shifted in abruptly.
 
ATHENA’S SECRET – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 4: CHARLIE FLOHR MEMORIAL CLERMONT CUP OPEN Handicap (1400 Metres)
 
BARACHIEL – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
STARSONIC – Reared upon jumping.
 
SPRING CREEK – Slow to begin.
 
GRAND DE LAGO – Shifted out passing the 1100m to avoid the heels of STARTSONIC as a result bumped HELMET HEAD. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
DIASONIC – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Trainer L. Manzelemann was fined $200 pursuant AR106(1) for presenting the gelding with blinkers instead of visors.
 
HELMET HEAD – Bumped by GRAND DE LAGO passing the 1100m. Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
 
Race 5: COOVIN PASTORAL Class B Handicap (1200 Metres)
 
BOSTON BELLE – Began awkwardly.
 
DOUBLE OH SEVEN – Began awkwardly. Raced erratically in the early stages. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare due to its poor racing manners.
 
CHOOKY CHEERLEADER – Jumped out at the start impeding LEVELET momentarily.
 
LEVALET – Impeded momentarily by CHOOKY CHEERLEADER upon jumping and as a result was slow to begin.
 
STURDY TIME – Slow into stride.
