QUEENSLAND RACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB, SATURDAY, 12 OCTOBER 2019 WEATHER – Fine TRACK RATING –Dirt RAIL –True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – C WarrenSteward – R Smith Clerk of Scales – StewardsJudge – T CallinanVeterinarian – Z O,BrienSwab Attendants – Z O’brienStarter – N Keys Race 1 – ACCESS ELECTRONICS Class B Handicap 1000m STAR SINGER- Was scratched at 12.00pm by order of Stewards when no rider was available. FLYING MAGIC- Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. Post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained minor lacerations to its near hind leg. IMAGINALTEHPEOPLE- On jumping was bumped by the runner to its inside which shifted out. WYNCH MAGIC- Raced wide throughout. SALTWATER SLEDGE- Raced wide throughout. STRYKINGLY SO- Raced wide in the early stages. HAVE A GO JOE- Raced wide throughout. Race 2 – MORT & CO LTD QTIS RATINGS BAND 0-55 Handicap 1200m TRACY’S ECHO- Was scratched at 12.00pm by order of Stewards when no rider was available TIME FOR US- Jumped away awkwardly, making contact with the front of the starting gates. As a result Jockey R Payne lost her near-side iron, became unbalanced, and was dislodged. Jockey Payne was subsequently examined by Ambulance officers in attendance and was declared fit to fulfil her remaining engagements. CAPTAIN’S PICK- Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. CHARLIE GARCON- On jumping was bumped by the runner to its inside which shifted out. Raced wide in the middle stages. NICCONI PASQUALE- Shifted out on jumping and bumped another runner. DUTCH TWIST- On jumping was bumped by the runner to its inside which shifted out. TEXT ME- Began awkwardly and was bumped by the runner to its inside. Race 3 – JOE & PAULINE BAKHASH MEMORIAL Class 6 Plate 1200m SCOTTABEE- Jockey R Hancock was permitted to ride the mare 1.5kg over the allotted weight when no other suitable rider was available. Subsequently Jockey Hancock was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of AR190(3). In considering penalty Stewards took into consideration the circumstances surrounding the matter and Jockey Hancocks exemplary record in relation to the rule. Tightened momentarily between runners passing the 150m. HUNTING- Shifted out under pressure in the home straight, momentarily tightening another runner passing the 150m before being corrected. Jockey J Babarovich was cautioned and advised to exercise greater care and effort in similar circumstances. LAST SIDE- Shifted in abruptly under pressure passing the 150m momentarily tightening another runner before being corrected. Jockey K Ballard was cautioned and advised to exercise greater care and effort in similar circumstances. Race 4 – SPARROW HARRISON SNR. MEMORIAL RATINGS BAND 0-60 Handicap 1400m PRINCE OF BARODA- Bumped with another runner at the start. On return to scale Jockey J Hoopert reported that the barrier 2 starting gates had been slow to open. Subsequently, declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Stewards to view the patrol footage. On viewing the footage it was confirmed that the front gates of barrier 2 had been slow to open placing PRINCE OF BARODA at a disadvantage. However, as PRINCE OF BARODA had officially been placed 3rd , Stewards, acting under the provisions of AR204(1)(d), declared correct weight onthe judges numbers. TIPSY CHOICE- Bumped with another runner at the start. Bumped with another runner which shifted in passing the 1300m. ROCK TSAR- Shifted in and bumped with another runner passing the 1300m. GOING GREY- Bumped with another runner at the start. Raced wide throughout. BLUE MONTE- Bumped with another runner at the start. MAKATITI- Raced wide in the early stages. Race 5– BELL RURAL CONTRACTING COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/CLONCURRY CUP OPEN Handicap 1400m BEAUDRAGON- Bumped with another runner at the start. DEADLY CHOICES- Bumped with another runner at the start. SNIPPY STRATEGIC- Raced wide in the early stages. RECALCULATE- Raced wide throughout.
