Race 1: Woodham Petroleum Class 1 Handicap 1000m    
 
ENCORONADA – Very slow to gather speed at the start and then raced very wide all the way.  Trainer J. Bawden advised that a warning regarding racing manners is being placed on the gelding.
 
ROCK AND SWING - Raced wide for the majority of the race. 
 
ELLAND ROAD (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 2: Brodie & Co Benchmark 60 Handicap 1000m 
 
NIGHT ATTIRE (NZ) – Starting gate was marginally slow to open. After viewing the available footage and taking evidence from rider J. Esser the gelding was declared a runner. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
STAR FACTOR – Jumped outwards bumping another runner.
 
FIRE RANGER – Bumped by another runner on jumping and raced wide rounding the home turn.  
 
HOMELAND SECURITY – Raced wide all the way.    
 
CRYSTAL BEAR – Post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer J. Jackson was advised that he is considering retiring the gelding. He was advised that prior to starting again the gelding must successfully complete a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate of fitness is required.

 
 
Race 3: KJW Contracting Benchark 45 Handicap 1200m
 
Prior to the start of this race an inspection was carried out on the barriers and minor maintenance carried out. 
 
MACMISSILE – Fractious in mounting yard and entering out onto the track. Trainer T. Parry was advised a warning is being placed on the gelding’s pre-race behaviour.   
 
BORN TO FIRE – Raced wide in the back straight. 
 
NICCONI PASQUALE – Raced wide most of the way.
 
PRETTY SMART – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
CAPTAIN THUNDERBIRD – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
MAHONEY – Commenced to lose ground mid-race and finished tailed off. Rider T. Hill stated the gelding raced greenly most of the way and resented the kickback in running. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 4: Ernest “Woody” WOODFIELD Memorial Class 4 Plate 1200m 
 
SUGAR RAY RED – Jumped awkwardly. 
 
SURGICAL – Raced wide most of the way.
 
GLOBAL ROCKET - Raced wide most of the way.
 
PRICE OF BARODA – Was reluctant to load into the barriers. Raced wide most of the way and finished tailed off.  Appreciates longer races.
 
IMAPOET – Raced very wide rounding the home turn.  
 
Race 5: Bell Rural Contracting Open Handicap 1200m
 
No incidents in running.
