Race 1: BEAT THE HEAT BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1000m
FAITH AND LOVE – Shifted in near the 800m inconveniencing runners to its inside. Jockey M. Gray was severely reprimanded for careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a).
FORGOTTEN BOW – Had to be steadied near the 800m to avoid the heels of another runner which shifted in.
ALOTAFOX – Tightened for room near the 800m.
DOLLADREAM – Raced wide for the majority.
DUNKIRK – Slow into stride. Raced ungenerously through the middle stages due to the kickback
LIVELY LASS – Inclined to lay out through the middle stages. Raced wide on the home turn.
 
Race 2: WESTGULF STOCK FEEDS Maiden Plate 1200m
OUR GIRL JACQUIE – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted jockey R. McMahon to ride the mare 2.5kg over its allocated weight.
OUR YOUNG MAN – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority.
EL RANCHOS – Raced wide for the majority.
MONICA ROOM – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide on the home turn.
MATCHFOX – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted jockey D. Ballard to ride the gelding 2kg over its allocated weight. Bumped with another runner on jumping.
MY BOY SOOTY – Raced wide from the middle stages throughout.
 
Race 3: THE SPARROW HARRISON MEMORIAL Class 3 Plate 1200m
PHOENIX SHADOW – As no other rider was available Stewards permitted jockey R. McMahon to ride the gelding 2kg over its allocated weight. Began awkwardly.
ARFA CROWN – Raced wide for the majority.
SOVIET – Raced wide for the majority.
MISS SIZZ – On returning to the mounting yard jockey J. Hoopert reported that soon after the start his saddle had shifted placing him at a disadvantage for the remainder of the race. Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 4: CLONCURRY TYRES & BATTERIES OPEN Handicap 1200m
TANGO RAIN – Slow into stride.
MR TINDALL – Raced wide majority.
 
Race 5: THE JUDY KEYES/JOHN BULLEY QTIS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1400m
ROCKETHEAD – Was declared a late scratching at 3:48pm after breaking through front gates galloping riderless for 1400m. All monies invested on the mare were ordered to be refunded in full. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and placegetters prior to 3:48 were as follows:
12 cents in the win
11 cents in the place
Trainer T . Parry was advised the mare would be required to obtain a barrier certificate prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
ZOUNATE – Stood flat footed as the start was affected losing considerable ground. Raced wide for the majority. Trainer S. Royes was advised the gelding would be required to obtain a barrier certificate prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
MISTER HAY ZEE – Raced wide middle stages and home turn.
 
Race 6: SIMPSON DESERT RACING CARNIVAL OPEN Handicap (1400m)
CHARLIE CAT – Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages.
ALMIGHTY GOLD – Slow into stride. Raced wide for the majority.

DUKES COUNTRY – Raced wide for the majority.
